  3. Shippams Fish Paste? Anchovy Paste? Nice sardines? Melted cheese on crumpets is great in winter, top with chutney to finish.

  5. I bought some nice CDs from the shop at the Imperial War Museum. It was a selection of music from the Forties. Dubonnet and bitter lemon was a Seventies drink. Does anyone drink it anymore?
  6. Police don't block the road for VIP.
  7. I had this idea a while ago, after seeing it in a bathroom. Never did it though. Marine ply? Think you are supposed to use yacht varnish on it to waterproof it.
  8. A while ago, the cash machine at the Co op on Forest Hill Road had a camera hidden in the top, which was discovered by the person in front of the queue.
  9. Agree with looking on the Dog's trust website when you are ready. The dogs they have are tested quite thoroughly.
  10. Nissan X Trail worth considering if you are looking at the CRV.
  11. Try Konditor and Cook. They do cakes to order. They have several places in SE London, inc. Borough Market.
  12. For pudding, sliced fresh mango with lime juice squeezed over. Tortellini soup, onion, garlic, vegetable or chicken stock, bit of parmesan rind, can of tomatoes, crushed, add tortellini, spinach or kale, grated cheese on top. can add cooked sausage meat if not vegetarian. Toasted banana bread with soft cheese/butter/nut butter on top. Date and walnut quick bread (homemade) with cream cheese or butter
  13. Poor chap. Sounds like he needs neutering if he sprays. Contact Celia Hammond?
  14. The Duchy Organic Originals lemon curd is very good and Waitrose does a Seriously Zesty Lemon Curd which is sharper.
  15. Thoughts to the dog's owners. It's illegal not to stop after you hit a dog. Did anyone get the reg number?
  16. I hoarded a lot of the free waste bags. They have come completely apart, split into segments, and can't be used now.
  17. Is there a notice on the door? If so, what does it say?
  18. They've been like that for at least a month. I reported it today. The woman on the phone had no idea how often they were supposed to be emptied. It is ok to put your tied up bags in the normal waste bins, which is what I do now.

I think the horses are used to dogs being around, but making sure your dog doesn't chase them is a good idea, as the dog would come off worse if they were kicked. My dog was slightly freaked out when she first saw them, but is fine now. The riders usually give you an acknowledgment of thanks for holding onto your dog.
  21. I have one of those heated dryer affairs from Lakeland which I use instead of a tumble dryer.
  22. Yes, that one. Don't think I would want the roots of that tree near my house's foundations. It also causes problems for blind and partially sighted people and wheelchair users. ------------------------------------------------------- > Mustard Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > I wonder if the massive tree on Oglander Road, > > which blocks the pavement, will stay there. > > > is this is one that forces buggies onto the road > to pass? > > We are not short of trees in the area. 23. I wonder if the massive tree on Oglander Road, which blocks the pavement, will stay there.
  24. They are rugger buggers.
