Iceland sells more than frozen food, fruit, vegetables, tinned goods, cheese, meat, yogurt, milk, bread etc. Just because it is called Iceland doesn't mean people go in there just for frozen food. Lots of pensioners go out daily to shop for socialising and to get out of the house.
  2. I would think a pensioner might not spend ?35 in a single shop, especially if they like to go out every few days for food. Not everyone has a big freezer.
  3. You have to spend ?35 or more for free delivery.

Read in to that what you will. Just checked iPlayer, it says 7 hours left to watch it.

I was shocked when I saw it. Probably still available on iPlayer.
  8. I don't take statins, but was told no need to fast for cholesterol tests any more.
  9. Gone are the days when you needed to fast for a blood draw for a cholesterol test.
  10. The car wash people are using Iceland's car park.....
  11. When living in West Hampstead, I used to often find syringes in my front garden!

Yes, those are the ones.
  13. Did you meant the newly built Landells Road houses? I meant the ones built a few years ago.
  14. A big path? Think there were some back garden type newbuilds on Landells Road a few years ago, only saw them online.
  15. What is the access to the proposed newbuilds?
  16. I had a tick bite and didn't know it until it was spotted by my then GP. I was seeing him about something else and showed him a mark on my upper arm I was worried about. He looked at it with a magnifying glass and confirmed it to be a tick bite. No idea how it got there. Never saw the tick. It was very small though.
  17. Just because you call the police doesn't mean they will get round there quickly. I have one which was set off accidentally by a child when I was in the house and they were round in about 2 minutes.
  18. No point in having an alarm unless it is hooked up to the police station, and you need to pay for that service.
  19. You could always take out a loan for ?10k, Sainsburys are doing ones with fairly low rates. You need to have a Nectar card.

  22. Dear Me, Wow, and Indeed. Well aren't particularly useful comments. Do you three shake your rugs and blankets out of your upstairs windows, or do you vacuum them or use your garden? Do you or would you also let your friends throw their cigarette butts outside on the pavement?
  23. Don;t know if this has been said before on here, but people who keep saying basically, as a filler in a sentence, or obviously when no, it's not obvious at all.
  24. Hadn't thought of an asbo, just wanted an idea if this was normal behaviour now. It happens frequently. Their English is poor, and they are in social housing. They also do many other things which aren't acceptable, such as congregate outside with friends, smoke, and litter the pavement with cigarette butts. They also leave broken down and discarded items outside the house for months on end. It might be a cultural thing.
  25. Does it work sending dollars from US to here?
