  1. Yes, that is the stall, bought some really nice chewy, seedy and grainy bread from him. Makes wonderful toast.

Do you not visit your friends who have dogs in that case? Dogs that go into cafes and restaurants/pubs don't tend to go into the food prep area.
  3. French Cafe on Forest Hill Road.

They are everywhere in France, even seen them sitting on chairs in restaurants. It's not illegal here, it is down to the management.
  5. La Scala on Grove Vale, opposite Blackbird. Petit Pou?
  6. Do you have contact details for the bakery that was selling next to the knife stand? They were at the very end of that row.

The markets are full of pears > right now; all you need is a juicer. The Turkish Food Centre in Camberwell, next to the Greek Church, has loads of unusual fruit juice, including pear. The Portuguese Cafe on Camberwell Church Street also has pear juice in a carton.
  8. Apparently housing associations do not keep a key to any of their properties. I find that very bizarre. If they did, then this man's body would not have been in this situation as long as it was. I found this fact out when someone was trying to gain access to a neighbouring property to do some surveying and had to wait until the tenant contacted him, after repeated attempts had been made to contact the tenant. It took 3 months to gain access. The HA said they didn't have a key and never kept keys.
  9. You can't display a permit you don't have, so if Hannah was told it's in the post, then that is down to Southwark, she needs to make a note of who she spoke to, what time etc.
  10. Look on Sali Hughes website for helpful advice.
  11. I lived in another borough with parking permits and was told that as long as I had paid for the permit, the traffic wardens would input the car reg number into their computers and it would come up as having been paid. I would presume it would be same for Southwark, but surely they would tell you that on the phone? Leaving a note on dashboard sounds like another good idea.

Is that even > allowed? Of course it's allowed. It's down to the owners/managers of establishments. Nothing to do with 'Elf and Safety', Homemade allowed dogs in, Toasted does, Jacks did, The French House does, as does The French Cafe on Forest Hill Road.
  13. It's very convenient for people living at that end of East Dulwich, and for people on their way to the station, nothing to do with not having loyalty. The Blackbird hasn't had any competition for a long while. Agree with pinecone, I miss ED warehouse cafe, and homemade. Wasn't someone supposed to have a coffee van at the station?
  14. The sandwich fillings looked great, eg, salami and mortadella amongst others.
  15. Yes, it's called La Scala, and there was a charming Italian woman behind the counter when I stopped in yesterday. This is their first week. Must try their croissants, as the ones at Blackbird are usually dry....
  16. Popped in to have a look and they have mostly paninis at the moment, with salads to come soon. Wifi available and dog friendly. Quite a few people in there, eyes glued to their laptops. It's opposite Blackbird. Forgot to ask what kind of coffee they had.
  17. I think Southwark are double yellow lines happy now. They are everywhere that they can possibly put them, and they seem to extend well back from corners now, more than seems necessary. It still doesn't stop people from parking on them though, and especially near schools.
  18. Thanks for the idea, am going to try them grilled with some cheese first.
  19. Lots of them about now, so am looking for some interesting recipes.
  20. Ok, great, thanks for letting me know.
  21. I was charged to go to two of your events, one in the gardens, not this summer, but last summer and one in the building in/near Nutbrook Street, the one that had Burger Bear outside.
  22. Dear Pexmas, Why do you charge entrance to your events? It seems wrong to charge to have to enter an event where there are already lots of stallholders who have paid you to set up their businesses. I am especially referring to the one you have in the gardens in the summertime. That's like charging to enter Goose Green to go to the Goose Green Fair.
  23. Some people like to shop locally, or need to as they don't have transport, or can have mobility issues. Not everyone can go to Lidl in Peckham, nor will they want to spend ?35 online to have a delivery from Iceland. Almost every time I have been in Iceland recently it has been busy. The staff are very efficient and get the lines moving quickly. Nowhere did I say you weren't allowed to comment on here. But as you don't shop there, and made your husband stop going there, your comments do seem irrelevant. Maybe you could charter a mini bus and conduct a shopping expedition to Peckham to instruct people who want to save money. The only frozen foods I have bought in Iceland are peas, fish fingers and some oven chips.

So, you don't shop there, therefore this thread is really irrelevant to you, yet you still keep commenting on it.
  25. If your GP can do a blood form tomorrow, and you go to Dulwich hospital, then usually the results come back within 2-3 days, sometimes more quickly.
