  1. I once employed a trader who did not have a bank account, and if people wanted to pay by cheque then they had to make it payable to his son. He was a great worker and I was happy to do either/or.
  2. There's a tapas place at Pretty's on Northcross Road.
  3. The AA is a broker.
  4. Have you tried calling the AA?
  5. I had a full structural done on a house when I moved here, and they still failed to pick up on a few things. If there are fitted carpets they usually have a get out clause to say they couldn't inspect the floors underneath them. Most people aren't going to accept having their fitted carpets uplifted to do a full inspection. But, I still think I would have another one done were I to buy another house.
  6. One might be the Greek restaurant in Melbourne Grove perhaps?
  7. Just tried there, and they no longer stock them. I tried Waitrose in Beckenham and they don't have them either.
  8. Any idea where Mrs. Tinks meals can be bought outside of ordering from Ocado?
  9. Horses don't do well on their own as they are a herd animal. Maybe their search was for a companion for their first pony.

That is why it goes well with hot chorizo on a roll, or with pasta. With kale you need to remove the center rib, and chop. It's good in veg soup, or in the Portuguese caldo verde.
  11. This is not in the right section.
  12. Try adding rocket to the chorizo and prawn dish, it goes really well with chorizo. Chorizo, rocket and charred or jarred peppers also good on a soft roll.
  13. Cath Kidston.....
  14. Have tried the noise CD and it didn't work, unfortunately. I do end up turning the radio up, but the length of time it goes on is ridiculous. The older my dog has become, the worse it affects her.
  15. I heard a couple go off last night, but they seemed to be more distant. I don't think keeping pets in solves the problem as they can be clearly heard inside the house. My dog is petrified of them, and the loud bangs also make me jump. It's the relentlessness of the noise that is so disturbing. Diwali runs into Bonfire Night(s) which appears to go on for weeks near me. Is it only organised fireworks that are lawful? If you also have small children, it can't be very pleasant.
  16. Anyone else hear these going off randomly sometimes, but quite often at this time of the year and continuing until Christmas time. Last week they went off at about 2 am. Sometimes they go off for what seems like hours at a time. Can anything be done about this?
  17. The Devon Rex breed is supposed to be more hypoallergenic than others.
  18. Aren't new ones all condensing now? How long have they been around for? Have heard lots of tales of woe regarding the original ones.

  20. The new ones last about 5 years, apparently.
  21. Weird that the OP has only posted about this shop.
  22. Victoria Inn has playroom area for children.
  23. They are now in Camberwell and seems popular, due to hospital employees and visitors no doubt.

Flock and Herd are quite accommodating with bones.
  25. I am taking someone to the hospital who has a blue badge. In the past I have seen a couple of bays outside the hospital, but if those are full, where else can I park and do I need to use the clock thing if not parking in a disabled bay, or even if in one?
