  8. Where are you as have a few things?
  9. OP is looking to buy, so is hopeful of a huge drop.
  10. So many ancient cars....sure it would have been pre '98, which is just after when I moved here.

Yes, I looked it up. 7 days to include weekends can be self certificated. They are now called Fit notes, not sick notes. So in theory he could take 7 days off, starting tomorrow, and go back the following Monday without having to see a doctor.
  12. Yes, pretty sure you can self-certificate for a week, unless it has changed. This was the case when I worked in an office.
  13. Or there may be a Bengal lover who would like to take it on, after it is neutered. Anyone who doesn't get any roaming cat neutered is so anti-social and irresponsible. I wouldn't worry too much about finding the owner right now, the cat's causing damage to your cat and your property, just get him trapped first.
  14. totally agree with Rosie, fragrances smell different on different people, so maybe a good idea to see if you can get some sample perfumes, the ones on cards so she could try out a few. A really good place to visit is Les Senteurs, the closest one is in Elizabeth Street, Victoria. They will definitely be able to give you some little glass samplers to take away with you. There are some very nice rose perfumes in the Rosine range. I think the Stella one is a rose based fragrance, so she might like some of the Rosine fragrances. The Happy one is also very light, so it sounds like she doesn't like anything heavy. Elizabeth Street has lots of other nice shops in it, including the French Poilane bread shop, and clothes shops so it's good for a wander anyway.
  15. Check out Calyx, it's been reissued, but scent isn't the same as it was. I bought Clinique Happy once, really liked it but it made me break out in a rash, so I returned it. I used to wear Calyx, and was disappointed when they stopped making it. Have you gone to any of the Jo Malone Shops, they have a lot of florals.
  16. Celia Hammond can provide traps to catch cats and then they will check for microchip, neuter......
  17. Can you use Seldoc?
  18. It's not 2 weeks since I last posted on here. I did hear some after I posted, but didn't feel a burning desire to post about them. They were more distant than some of the others.
  19. Turtle mats placed near doors are good for muddy paws.
  20. Thankfully haven't heard any for a few days. They will no doubt start up again around Christmas and New Year.
  21. Ondine Road is one of those roads that is heavily parked up at night, but not in the daytime.
  22. Anyone have the Vax S7-A mop? Thinking of buying it.
  23. What road do you live in? I live in the same area and I don't want parking permits to be brought in. Southwark have tried twice to implement a RP scheme and have been defeated both times. Having a parking permit doesn't guarantee that you will have a place to park outside your house. Pavements are a different matter. I agree that lots of them are in bad shape. Contact your local councillor and post on James Barber's thread.

  25. French toast instead of pancakes with maple syrup and bacon is superior. Or eggy bread over here.
