  1. A burglar alarm needs to be connected to the police station, otherwise what is the point?
  2. An illegal immigrant would be investigated by immigration, not customs. What does the banks being closed have to do with anything? I saw someone get robbed at a cash point outside HSBC around 11 am one weekday morning. The guy used a screwdriver to stab her in the ribs.
  3. That would translate really well to Inside Out London.
  4. I think the views from Telegraph Hill are more dramatic than Brockwell, meaning the city is closer. Some interesting things in Dulwich Woods as well.
  5. Have seen signs on public waste bins in Southwark that it's ok to dog poo bags in them as long as they are properly secured/tied up so would presume it's ok to put them in green bins as well.
  6. The previous thread on here about him was taken down by Admin. It would be good if this one mentioning the memorial service could be left up, so at least people who wanted to attend would know when it was. Or, if not, then a separate one regarding just the memorial service could be started.
  7. He would have been an interesting candidate for In the Psychiatrist's Chair. He must be really stupid to be carrying on the way he is.
  8. Stevie Thomas, she will come to your home. She has a thread on here.
  9. Romeo Jones usually has local artists on their walls.
  10. Post on James Barber thread.
  11. That reminds me of when I was driving near Hampstead Heath one day, just near William Ellis school. School children were letting off fireworks on the pavement and throwing them in the street at the cars.
  12. Feel sorry for the dog. It's too big to only be exercised in that tiny park. An Akita needs a careful owner, and they often aren't good with other dogs. IF the owner doesn't pick up his dog's poo from the pavement, then he undoubtedly doesn't pick it up when they are in the park.
  13. Tell Boris, he missed a trick to make some more money by having both day and evening displays.
  14. Has anyone else seen this man with the huge dog leaving piles of poo in their wake? Apparently dog poo is soon to be DNA'd so culprits won't be able to get away with it.
  15. I expect fireworks NYE at night, when it is dark, New Year's Eve! but not in broad daylight. Keeping my fingers crossed for rain tonight.
  16. Fireworks started here already. Finding it hard to believe. They were also going of in the last few days, also in daytime as well as night.
  17. You could try the Whitechapel Mission, they don't close over the Christmas period.
  18. Agree with odd response from Thames Water, perhaps you could contact the Fire Service today as they would know how to turn water off and on.
  19. This is so terrible. Surely there will be an inquest into a sudden death?
  20. I would ask your councillor to help, Southwark have access to land registry records and can find out who owns the land. It would also probably be an environmental health issue.
  21. Check your insurance, it often covers things like this, especially if you have taken out extra cover for emergencies.
  22. This is supposed to be some sort of joke.
  23. It wasn't me that started either of those petitions, but if it makes lawmakers look again at the current rules, which appear to be lax, then that's a good thing. More were let off last night. It appears to be about the noise factor with a lot of them. If you can think about how to address these idiots then do share!
  24. Someone is letting fireworks off now. Morons. Last night they were let off before midnight and after midnight, at about 3 am.
