These are so badly designed it is crazy, the bedrooms are tiny and no storage space, and to top it all off you can get people looking into you bedrooms in the lower flat every time they walk past. I can't see these being sold for a very long time unless the price gets reduced massively.

I am gutted, I love Hisar, it is may favourite place to eat on LL, lets hope it gets filled with Japanese restaurant....... or another decent Turkish restuarant, still very sad though. My girlfirend wil be mortified !!!!!!!!

7.51 from ED was much more packed than usual, could hardly get on the trai and itnearly kicked off on my carriage between to angry gentlemen. I hope it is not so busy tomorrow or they could be more shenanigans.

Do you mean the four on th corner of Underhill / Overhill Road. All four are empty, no wonder, they donn't fit in with the road and have really small bedrooms. The ones up the other end of Overhill that I think this thread isabout look nice.

I have eaten a doezn times ath Hisar, and evry time it has been excellent. The only problem is I always over eat there......... good food and well priced.

I bought a flat in the second half of 2006 so am obviosuly concerned that my flat will continue to go down in value. However the only positive is I did not over stretch myself and the property went up (according to Zoopla !) to 15% over what I paid for it about 6-9 months later, which I at the time thought was unrealistic. I very much doubt however that a Victorian house on North Cross Road will drop to ?120k. The average UK wage and London wage was a lot less then and London was far less densley populated and the demand for rented properties was much lower. The property market still has some way to go I think but 50K flats and 100k houses in ED with the East London line coming in 2010 is unlikely I think........ hope !

I used to go to the drum a fair bit, it had good drinks & food an the owners were very friendly aswell as a fantastic dog.... it is sad they are closing it down.

Omrith by a distance

I received Omriths menu through the door the other day and before reading about it on this forum fancied trying it, the postive reveiws on here made me want to try it even more. Tonight I gave it a whirl I was very impressed, I have had Curry's at 80% of Lordship Lane's curry houses and Omrith is actually the closest to my flat so this is a bonus. My impressions are excellent, all the dishes were very good and one was exceptional (Delhi Ka Makhan - Creamy dish with Coconut & Curry) & literally had my girlfrined drueling. I will definetley go back and this will be my regular curry haunt from now on as the extensive list of specialities will take some time to work through.

I went in there the other day an thought it was good. There are a number of simlar but good pubs in ED and Adventure Bar is different to Licqourice so all in all another decent option of something different, I hope it is a success.

Duliwch Tandoori for me, fancy trying Mirash some time though.

I love the P13, it is so irregular in its times if it comes when I haven't been waiting long it makes me happy. I might even get a P13 tatoo.

I agree Hisar is very good, excellent value too.

I vote Underhill/Overhill road block. They stick out like a saw thumb and have been empty for a year, no wonder either given the bedrooms are both very small and they were on the market for ?328k. Crazy !!!!!!
