  10. Going back to the original title about ageism. Don't worry you are not old by any means at 53! Also going back to Uncleglen's post; I read it that he was saying his sister was told by an interviewee that she would get the job because she wouldn't go off and breed so he didn't actually say these words?

  14. There's been a junction camera since 2015 on the EDG traffic light system that goes ahead onto Village Way or turns right onto North Dulwich. It also serves traffic jumping lights etc on the opposite side of Village Way going forward turning right into Dulwich Village or straight on to EDG I think!
  15. Fantastic Mr Fox! A lovely creature!
  16. Not sure what you're trying to say Sue as you didn't quote all of my post but I like to set an example to children and adults alike when crossing the road.
  17. Not interested in the building at all but wondering why the OP is apologising for their Daily Mail link?

Would imagine this is happening with all secondary schools, not just The Charter. There's always the percentage that let the schools down in their anti-social behaviour! Once the kids have left school premises I don't think there's much the schools can do except try to educate them in assemblies etc. I've seen terrible road crossings by adults with primary age children over the years, i.e. not bothering to wait for the green man or the lollipop lady/man! There's me trying to educate children to wait for the green man and a lone adult or adult with children following them (usually with the adult on their phones) strides out in their own little world.
  19. I wouldn't like to be a cleaner to be confronted with overflowing nappy bins! Maybe that wasn't in their job description who knows? I put any changed nappies in my own bag if I come across something like this and take it home.
  20. I'm in Southwark and when the service was free it was always efficient. Hope you get it sorted!
  21. Had our CPZ go live in April 2016 and it's the best thing that happened. Was against it at first but due to the unprecedented parking problems in the area voted to go for the 12-2pm NO PARKING slot and it's worked! Everybody far and wide (miles away from London even) was parking to get to the local train stations and bus stops to go wherever but impacting upon local streets just to save a bit of money. Have had no problems with visitor parking permits etc. when needed.

Oh dear! I love to read a hard copy of a newspaper everyday. And what do you mean about 'old people'?
  23. Thanks for bringing this to our attention sally!
  24. It's probably undersubscribed because it can't afford to offer the 30 hours 'free' funding which was brought in this month. Childcare providers i.e. nurseries and childminders already provide the 15 hours but some are having difficulty providing a further 'free' 15 hours childcare i.e. 30 hours altogether and they are having to close or thinking of having to close.
