  1. It's appalling. I get updates on the campaign to save it on Twitter from @SaveLewishamAE which posts about public meetings etc if anyone's interested.
  2. Depends how much you hate your permanent job. I left mine 3 years ago and have been between contracts and freelance work ever since, and never been happier in my career. Done me the world of good getting out of toxic work environment.
  3. I make chocolate crispy cakes. With a bar of chocolate and cornflakes. All the time. Apologies to the PTA.
  4. I really don't think the disaffected Labour working class vote BNP.
  5. They sound like v useful rabbits
  6. Think I'd rather save my pennies. Christmas is a magical time of year for kids, you don't need to spend this much money to enjoy the festivities. Santa at the school fair at Goose Green has been enough for my son the past few years, and there's always other activities too which don't break the bank and get put back into the PTA to support all the kids.
  7. All those poor kids, both stories and those not in the public domain. It's all so sad.
  8. 18 quid! Santa doesn't charge for his time at goose green school's Xmas fair. But then again, dulwich village is another planet. There's currently an advert for a governess in the shop window in the village. Wonder how much they'll pay Jane Eyre.
  9. I'm far more interested in what the hospitals and children's homes have to say for themselves. BBC is a v easy target for right wing press and its followers.
  10. All these cleaners sound amazingly hard working to me, with high expectations to meet up to
  11. Best book of the year if you fancy a laugh (I do have a bit of a vested interested, but it's true): http://www.amazon.co.uk/Going-Sieve-Autobiography-Danny-Baker/dp/0297863401/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1351795973&sr=1-1
  12. I enjoyed this blog: http://www.newstatesman.com/lifestyle/2012/10/my-new-campaign-feminists-yummy-mummies Women - mothers! - can't really win, whoever we are, whichever strata of society we come from
  13. Yeah, I was in severe pain
  14. When I needed emergency dental care Kings open doors and first come, first serve at 8.30 and if fill up allocated spaces they turn you away, but with Guys I got there 2pm-ish (up on 24th floor i think) and was seen within 15 minutes. I'd go to Guys, not Kings.
  15. Yes, I think I'm more used to the phrase 'that bloody man'. Ha. And likewise, never, ever 'that bloody gentleman'.
  16. I'm surprised being referred to as a 'woman' could be described as a dehumanising prelude to some other criticism. I'd never take it like that. Why is 'woman' so problematic to you? I'd describe myself as a woman and never a lady.
  17. Someone came up to me on Grove Vale on Sunday morning at 8.30am and asked if I was English. I think I'll just say I'm Kosovan now.
  18. Chip free mick mac
  19. My mother a v strong feminist always objected to lady, I always followed suit. Am thawing now to lady/ies.
  20. DMC aren't always bad. In fact, they were fantastic with me last week. But it can be v frustrating trying to get an appointment for a same-day spot.
  21. ha!
  22. amazing. Cap doffed etc.
  23. i love twitter but polly toynbee retweeted me today and after a lot of right wing people sending me angry tweets all day, the EDF seems mildly right wing if not inclusive in comparison. Ha. But yes, I love twitter.
