  1. yeah, i got nits at uni when i had dreadlocks! dirtiest hair ever. Nits like blood, hair not so much.
  2. Oh, and then get the clipper ferry thing from Greenwich to London Bridge - that went down v well too.
  3. Sympathies, I had the flu over NY and am still recovering. My advice is to not go too far as the post flu fatigue is awful, esp with parenting duties on top of that. Can't you take your 3 year old to the cinema? Maybe Greenwich to get out of the triangle? I'm pretty sure they have a Sat morning kids club. Then go to the Cutty Sark (my 3 yr old nephew loved his visit there recently). Not much help, sorry!
  4. funny, primary school i went in was full of poor kids with short hair and nits was a common problem. I have no money, am a hybrid of classes and an have a son with wildish longish hair who's never had nits. Can't see what social class has to do with it whatsoever, unless it's a new breed of discerning deli-loving biters.
  5. Ha. Indeed.

  9. Wow, borderpaul. Really? People from other parts of Londom should really not visit Forest hill because other people live there?
  10. I still help my son occasionally (he's 8). But he's dyspraxic so does find it difficult.
  11. Don't eat meat, never eaten meat, really don't care if other people do or don't. Have been known to cook meat for ex boyfriends. For me it's not a moral choice, just a matter of taste.
  12. We use floradex for the occasional boost
  13. I've been buying take-out bottles of vino for around the 7 quid mark at g&b and they've always been delicious. Will miss it.
  14. I like mine a lot, but do all word processing on my laptop
  15. Looking forward to it!
  16. I was in a similar situation when my boy was at nursery but in the evening, not morning - had a v v unsympathetic boss to all childcare anxieties and pressures. Nice. Not. Anyway, I found a lovely young drama student on this very forum (back in 2007!) who did the trick. So it can be done.
  17. The nurse was pursued in typical tactless manner by British press - apparently they wouldn't leave her alone, wanting interviews etc. leveson schleveson.
  18. We have no idea what was going on in this woman's personal life; we have no idea what happened behind the scenes. I feel sorry and sad for all involved.
  19. there's loads of traffic in NZ, especially Auckland where these dogs are. Everyone drives as there's no national public transport bar domestic flights which are expensive, or at least that was the case when I lived there.
  20. I don't think media/arty/PR types are the wealthiest in East Dulwich. Believe me.
  21. Thank you Renata for addressing the secondary question
  22. Yeah, was v v impressed with the OT we saw at Sunshine House, and the paediatrician. Many thanks for the responses and PMs.
