  1. This whole listing of women thing makes me cringe, as did listening to Eve Pollard on the Today programme this morning speaking about it. There was a similar one in the Observer about female novelists recently, and it had the same impact on me. Seems to belittle women in general (not the chosen few) I feel.
  2. it is Karren on the bbc website

  9. I had a dog phobia for years after being attacked by one as a child. But in my 20s I lived with a family in NZ with a staffie, and absolutely adored her, the feeling of which was mutual. She was a kind, gentle and intelligent dog and got me over my canine fears.
  10. they're like blood-testing-fairies though - they are the best blood testers i've ever come across, and i've come across a lot
  11. I ended up in a Moroccan police station for 2 days after my ex crashed a rental car and broke 2 of my ribs, just after sept 11 2001. Felt pretty scary at the time.

lack of thank yous for allowing people past is a pet hate of mine, but I don't think it has anything to do with social class. Just as likely to happen anywhere as it is in East Dulwich.
  15. I use the salicyclic acid direct on where I used to get my monthly pms outbreak and its cleared those up. Also use the v light moisturiser.
  16. I bought some acne treatment from the etat pur website about 4 months ago, and have never known anything to work so well - fairly cheap too - http://www.etatpur.co.uk/
  17. Ps I think they all open at 11 on sundays
  18. I crossed as pedestrian yesterday and it was a v scary experience - no idea which way to look, cars seeming to come from each way. V badly supported for people on feet, especially considering there are so many schools near by.
  19. Imigran! Saved me this week when I was caught without my prescription meds in town. Boots in Peckham and chemist in morrisons also open. Get well soon, I know the horror of migraine only too well.
  20. Thank you for addressing the secondary question, Renata. Much appreciated.

I became addicted to Modern Family via Netflix/iPad when I was laid up with flu over new year. It's brilliant, v funny.

  23. Good stuff
  24. Kings A&E deal with many stabbings and shootings, as I imagine Lewisham do. Not so much Devon and Cornwall I should think.
  25. I'm not provoked, just amused.
