Went yesterday about 11.30 walked to Peckham Rye, train to Lewisham, then DLR ( swapped train at Greenwich) to Stratford. Seat all way, no crowd or queue. Barely 1 hour door to door. if you don't want to walk, 484/185 to Lewisham just as good... Enjoy, Athletics yesterday awesome !!

Accident in East Dulwich Road ( February 23 2012)
NorthernPup replied to woodycheese's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Agree that another crossing not justified, but a cheap alternative might be to add a gate to the playground on the corner of ED Road/Adys Road that will exit directly by the existing crossing which may encourage people to use? -
484 From ED to Lewisham then DLR to Stratford. Not quickest, but DLR starts at Lewisham increasing chance of Seat and avoiding key bottlenecks. DLR Lewisham - Stratford is direct and takes about 35 Minutes.

Actress at 16.30. 9 blokes 1 young couple? Maybe original poster needs to re evaluate drinking times?
-
Moved to Actress - no YM's their either? Maybe they migrate?

Still empty at 3.45 - could do with some y M's.

Youth offenders unit moving to east dulwich rd
NorthernPup replied to summer's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Have to say, living less than 100 metres from proposed site I have no problem with this. There are plenty of units - social or otherwise already in the area, as well as hostels etc for a variety of ex offenders. We have to accept as a community the need for these agencies - so accept will sometimes be in my back yard. -
Showing our support for the ED community and London
NorthernPup replied to james84's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Back to the original post. For many has, frankly, been a crap week - but not least for all of our local shops and businesses - so let's all take the opportunity to visit them this weekend, try and spend a few quid - or at least offer a few words of support. Here's hoping for an end to the madness! -
What's the Olympic premium for ED property?
NorthernPup replied to benmorg's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
East Dulwich not as well located for Olympics. Suggest your halfwit brother uses some of Wimbledon cash for geography lessons. Cock. -
Water problems Altima Court / East Dulwich?
NorthernPup replied to cat24's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have lived in Altima Court since built- so 5 years. To my knowledge have lost water twice, once due to mains issue, once due to Altima Court issue, which was resolved by management company same day. Based on this, hard to fault. Sure, management fee isn't cheap, but considering property has lifts etc., does not compare badly to my previous flat. Certainly not going to promote the management company, they do adequate job, but not ready to criticise either. -
Not sure what you were expecting or why go to the centre at all as all advice is to stay home in bed to avoid passing on?

NorthernPup replied to P3ckham09's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Try crystal palace national sports centre - lots of basketball there and just up road. -

Really nice idea. Can't help with indoors venue - but any thoughts on staging something outside in one of our great parks. The thoughts of a play, picnic, bottle of wine and some summer sun on my back helps get me through the cold and wet of recent! Good luck and hope may be able to help in some way.
