Opinions - nursery closed, do you pay still or catch up?
bimum replied to bimum's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Saffron Thank you! I will phone them on Monday to get advise. -
Hi Everyone, I need your opinion/advise on how things work when the nursery(private) said that they are close. My LO goes every Thursday and Friday full days and paying ?65/day. The nursery emailed me that He will just attend until 1pm on Thursday (that's yesterday) and closed today due to weather Condition. I understand that for the safety of the kids and staff. But what happens on the day that I have paid? I feel that he should catch up on the day he will be losing. Also, this is not mentioned in the contract. This cost me money as I am working and I still need to go to work regardless of the weather. And because of the nursery being closed, I need to hire a babysitter. I feel that there should be a compensation. As I said, just to catch on days I have paid. How does it work for mums has a similar situation? I have emailed the nursery about it but no answer.

Partner of bimum here. Although she thinks pink is ok, I wouldn't feel comfortable bringing my boy to the park with a pink scooter. Husband is totally reasonable.

Hi Mummies, We all know that when the child reaches the age of 3, they get 15 hours free. But I think most of the schools wanted to spread it by 3 hours a day. Is there any school ( state or private ) can do the 15 hours in 2 days and I'll pay extra days (2-3 days). Is there any arrangement like this? Thank you in advance xx

Hi, I'm looking for a babysitter maybe a student/a mother who can babysit on Tuesday. Time is from 1:30 to 6. Kids are sleeping until 3pm, so not a lot of child care involved. Will pay ?30. Get in touch if this agreeable to you. Thanks in advance!

I broke into tears. It's my son's first day in the nursery. And I'm so worried as he bited one of the staff. They were playing outdoors He went to the gate and started screaming as he wanted to go out. The staff carried him, and bited her which he never did to us,and not to anyone. I tried to talk to him and asked why did he do that, but it's so frustrating as he doesn't speaks a sentence yet. ( he is bilingual ) I spoke to my friends and they said its normal for the first day. Does anyone had an experienced like this? Please let me know how you dealt with it. Thank you in advance
