Winter babies club (due Dec 2011, Jan/Feb 2012)
bee74 replied to Family Room Moderator's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hello millymoo and LillyD, I think we are not too late, my due date is 16th Dec, but my son was early so I think I only have about 2 weeks, so I m quite keen to do the hypnobirthing really soon. Anyone else interested? If so we could try for next week if Kirstin is available. Let me know. -
Anyone interested in 3-5 yr old football classes?
bee74 replied to bee74's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Again, I would be happy with either, best to contact Dave. Here is his number 0793 1304 183. From Jan I could only do Wed pm. But maybe he wouldn't mind doing both. -

Hello everyone I hope you are all doing well. As my due date is fast approaching I have been thinking of doing a hypnobirthing course to refresh my memory since last time. It really helped first time round, but I admit I forgot everything! Would anyone be interested? We could arrange it in a similar way to the Sleep Training evening. I am happy to have people around and share tea/cake/wine... The person I am thinking of who could run the course is someone from my NESTlondon.com site called Kirstin Hayward. Depening on how many are interested we could discuss possible dates, times, and costs with her. Let me know. Also, since the Sleep Training was apparently very good, would anyone else be interested who didn't attend the first one? Thank you. -

ok, thank you for the info about tue. i wonder if it is worth that you calling the coach directly and asking him wether he would do another class on tue. i guess that was the problem, the class simply wasn't advertised at all! i would go to either. -

not sure the 4-5 slot is a possiblity, i guess we can ask the coach next week. it would be difficult for me with naps (although he seems to be not so interested anymore!) also if you feel class is too long, you could leave earlier. but i found that he manages to keep them well entertained even for that long, which is great. -

no, no mention of it. Not advertised at all. I also think the 4.30 is a bit late, but there doesn't seem to be a perfect time that fits in with everyone. My son is not 3 yet either so that shouldn't be a problem. Maybe we could ask for a slightly earlier time of 4 pm? -

Hello everyone last week I went to the East Dulwich Fusion (where pool is) for a football class for young children (3-5 year olds). There were five mums and kids (only kids playing!) and the children really had great fun. The coach, Dave, is clearly passionate about football and also excellent with the little ones. I found the class to be not just about scoring goals, but also good for learning about colours, waiting, taking turns, making friends, building confidence and then of course practising physical skills. So we were really sad to learn that that was the last class because Dave was losing money in renting the space with so few people turning up. He has now decided to set up a new one on Wednesday 4.30-5.30 pm still at Fusion, hoping more children who are at nursery in the morning can attend. So I am trying to help him out by spreading the word as I've never seen the class advertised anywhere and I would love for my little boy to keep attending. Please join us next Wednesday. It will be great fun. PS Dave's number is 0793 1304 183 PS2 I am not a friend or relative of the coash nor do I have any financial interest in the class. I just know that my son loved it! -

I still have these so please get in touch. -
We have a birthday party in the afternoon and wouldn't want to be too late to bed, so does anyone know of any good fireworks or bonfires happening between 6 and 8? Thank you

Hello everyone for sleep consultant: 18th/19th are def not good for me as I am away that week end, but then I am planning on being away almost every week end till beg of Dec - making most of time before the new one comes along. Evenings are ok with me. I am starting to reduce my hours with work, so best evenign is Thu. Mon I finish too late but Tue and Wed I might manage a bit later 8.30/9 pm. However, I am not desperate, more curious about the sleep consultant so please don't try to re-arrange just for me. I am quite keen to meet up so if I understand correctly next evening out is Thur 3rd... Congratulations to all new pregnant ladies joining and the lucky ones who have started maternity leave. No such thing for the self-employed! Speak soon. X -

Hello everyone I have been a bit busy of late. So I am sorry I might have missed some important info... Sleep consultant?! Wed 2 pm?! I would be interested to hear from a sleep consultant although I have been lucky with my son and introduced a good routine from the start which really helped him to manage his sleep quite well. Of course there is the odd very early morning still, but all in all, I have been blessed with a good sleeper. Yet, you never know what number two might be like. I can't do 2 pm any day as M still naps 2-3.30/4. And I do enjoy that break at home doing yoga or reading or working. MC - about Kate Sedgwick, she is one of the therapists with who I have set up a brand new resource website: www.nestlondon.com We are a group of local midwives and therapists addressing physical and emotional wellbeing issues from fertility, through pregnancy and birth, to motherhood. Take a look. Is Thur meeting still on, where? Take a look. -

Just wondering if they are any good. I used a simple blanket with son, but thought I might something like this a try if worth it... Hello i see the point of always having someone who is present at the meetings, but we can organise that week by week. The Autumn Baby Club meets every Tue at the Actress, so we could alternate Tue at the Gowlett with Thur at the Actress. We could start next Thu there. Those with children already are a bit unlikely (personally speaking, of course) to want to spend money for a babysitter so that their partners can join in too... So i personally would prefer if the two meetings were separate. But that's just me. B -

that's a very good point. Tuesday at the Gowlett is fine with me. I normally finish at 7.30 on that day, just occasionally i have another 1 or 2 clients after that. More thoughts? -

Hello everyone welcome and congratulations to new members! As expected, turns out I have to work tomorrow night, so won't make the meeting. Since it is the second I miss, I am selfishly really keen to set up a more regular meeting. So how about a weekly or twice monthly meet up either at the Gowlett or at Green and Blue (is that the name?)? It would make it easier for people to just turn up without too much pressure. What do you think? B -

Hello everyone Just back from a fantastic time away and I feel grateful the sun is shining here too, so it's not so traumatic being back. I have so much to catch up with that I won't have time to read through all the messages of the past 2 and a half weeks, but I am looking forward to catching up at the Gowlett next week. Although I wonder whether a sligtly later start won't be easier for those who have to do bedtime... I wouldn't be able to get there before 8.30! Anyway, I hope you are all doing fine and enjoying the bumps. X -

Hello everyone had a great time at the cinema this morning, lovely to see mothercourage and missmack and the little ones again. I shall take mine to another film soon. We even went for pizza afterwards - a proper date! I have now almost enough people interested in pregnancy yoga to set up a couple of classes. Those who are interested, will you please email me separately to let me know if you would be keen on the Saturday morning 9.30 am or the Monday evening 6.30 class? Thank you Please remember that classes are in Camberwell, very close to the swimming pool. The classes will hopefully start again from 15th September when I get back from Sardinia. Congratulations to all the new expectant mums who have joined after scans! Exciting. X -
