Sorry James I dont mean to say I find anything in particular you have said upsetting to me personally only that, and again I'm speaking across the board not just on this thread, that your tone/response seems to have upset a few people. Also, your tone of writing suggests who have grumbles with several forumites without a justified reason (disagree if you like) and so think some of your comments towards others are a bit unnecessary - quick to judge and very denfensive on yourself.. I know I writing in circular patterns here but I find it difficult communicating with you and not end up in an argument.

I'd vote for my dearest KalamityKel simply because I "fink" she's great! Oh and that she's been a bit down lately so feel it my duty to try and put a bit of brightness back in to her life. AND also because no one else has ;-)

Yes James I would dearly love the world to be a fairer place and if you agree too then I kindly ask you to accept/respect other people's (not meaning mine but generally throughout this forum) opinions. Even if you agree or not there is no need for upsetting fellow human beings.

James please explain WHY Kalamity's remark is silly? It's a very valid point when it comes to the dreaded topic of "racism". It's not just black people who suffer from racist issues and certainly not in the class circles you keep mentioning. I dont know, maybe my circles and backgrounds (people I associate with) are different from yours hence I can not identify with the problems you see on a daily basis. Making issues such as you are with "black people" is really diverting the attention away from the initial topic of this thread... gay people find it harder than those of different ethnic backgrounds? Really? Doesn't seem that way by your own replies.

Hey the Stag can be a really good place to go! Admittedly the drag acts can be a bit erm... well not very good but they can also be fabulous - very flexible. People in there can be very friendly towards all. I remember a time when I was out with another forumite (who shall remain namelss), it was her first time there, a very overyly gay regular approached demanded to know "what are you?" after establishing she was a "happy straight" hugged and kissed her and said loudly "oh thank goodness there's a bit of strangeness in here at long last! I was beginning to get bored". Said forumite then was introduced to many other regulars who then looked after us all evening in a protective manner not pervy ;-)

At school gay comments were a regular thing, perhaps a bit more than racist ones but I feel in my experience comments expressed particularly at that age, were not necessarily meant as a homophobic insult. Many kids didn't really know what they were saying only that it was considered the "in" thing without understanding certain words' meanings. Sorry I refuse to type such words as I'm a grown up now and don't need to use such limited vocabularly. However, saying that, where racist comments are concerned it is fully understood what is meant...

Pubs in Victoria Sadly not many particularly exciting places. For the majority IME service is a bit poor/slow and these places tend to be heaving at rush hour (for obvious reasons) Ha Ha's is quite a popular place amongst my girlies...
