I have noticed a real increase over the past year or so in rats in Peckham Rye Park. Has anyone else noticed this? I have lived here for a long time now and never really noticed them until recently when I see them all over the place - running across the paths, along the lake, through the bushes. Am I just being more observant or are there more now? I know they have always been there but I see them every time I?m there now and I never used to!

Hi Rockets - yes we do mainly try to cycle or walk even when it?s cold and have done for the past two years (since we started doing the school run). If it?s raining we would still walk but with waterproofs / wellies etc. If really chucking it down then I would drive but I would park on a nearby street and walk the last bit. This is a rare occasion and likely only did it once or twice last winter.

I cycled from East Dulwich to Dulwich Village Infants School then back to East Dulwich Charter School this morning to drop off both my children. I was cycling between 8.30 and 9.30 and the traffic was fine - it wasn?t backed up or congested. Townley Road didn?t have much queuing traffic and neither did Dulwich Village. It was a pleasant experience and it certainly felt safer as a cyclist. I cycled back home along Melbourne Grove - again this seems to have settled down and it was an enjoyable and calm cycle along the road.

I would also like to add my recommendation for Laurent and his team. They have just finised decorating our study and we are delighted with the results. The work was completed in four days whilst we were away and they left the place spotless. There were a few areas that needed touching up and Laurant came and finised this on a Saturday evening to ensure it was completed by Monday morning for the carpet to be fitted. He was always responsive to any emails and texts and kept us updated as to his progress. I am very happy to provide a reference.
