thankyou for all your help, in the end iced the cakes and cut and boxes them around 12 hour before giving them to the guest. I also covered them with cling film which I think helped a lot. the cake came out perfect!! thanyou for all your advice :) chrystle

Hi all, Im having a christening for my son on Sunday and Im giving my guest some cake to say thank you for attending. Here is were I need advice. If I were to cut the cake and put them in the favour boxes the night before, do you think the cake will get hard ? I don't want to give my guest stale cake. I have a lot f people coming on the Sunday and I don't want to waste valuable time cutting cake and putting them in boxes. got around 70 guests. any advice would be great. Thank you Chrystle
