Has anybody received notifications about when parking restrictions will begin? I am aware that it was postponed from the 6th of June due to Covid but I am yet to hear anything else. I have noticed the signs have gone up and are covered. Have I missed some key information?

Do you want Controlled Parking YES or NO
EDlittlemoo replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
If everyone in ED stopped getting loft conversions done at the same time i'm sure we'd see some improvement. Constant skips and sand bags. Also, not everybody has the money to pay for a parking permit just to have the luxury to park in front of their own houses. -
Hi Just a question for any forum users who live in Dawson?s heights or on Overhill rd. I?ve lived in ED my whole life and we have been interested to find out what living in Dawson?s heights is like, we have a 6 y old and I know local schools and the lovely things around but I?d just like to get some general views from people that live there about how it feels/whether there has been any changes recently/ what it?s like living there with kids. I?d appreciate any sort of advice/feedback Thanks E

Haven't received anything from them yet either, so it's not just you. Will hang on and see if I get any letters through in the next couple of weeks! -
Hi Just wondering whether any mums/dads have their kids in swimming classes at Peckham Pulse? My son has just been accepted into the pre-school swimming group and I just wanted some parent views as to how the sessions are run etc. Also one of the ladies at the desk said I wouldn't need to go into the pool with him even though it's his first session, is that usual? Thanks in advance!

How much do you spend on kids at Christmas?
EDlittlemoo replied to kittysailing's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I'd say spend what feels right and don't second guess yourself because of what other people spend on each of their kids... -
Suggested books for a 13yo reluctant reader
EDlittlemoo replied to ladyruskin's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi LadyRuskin, Try "Saffy's Angel" by Hilary McKay and maybe the books by Meg Cabot (Princess Diaries' & All American Girl)? Also maybe "Chicken Soup for the teenage soul" - I gave that to my sister when she turned 13/14 Hope that helps! E -

Hi I used www.playdayz.net for my son's party. The lady that runs the company is lovely, and the softplay available is great

Stranger anxiety?
EDlittlemoo replied to Karla - Klear My Space's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We went through this when my son was about 7-8 months old, he wouldn't even allow his dad to hold him. I think this was because I was with him 24/7 when on maternity leave. It was an exhausting period, but if it makes you feel any better this extremity only lasted 1.5/2 months....now my son is two and a half and I would be lucky to have him sit still on my lap for more the 30secs.... -
I often find that fennel/aniseed tea helps! If you can get hold of aniseed/ fennel seeds pop them on the stove with boiling water until it bubbles up, and then sieve out the seeds and pop in a beaker, doesn't taste bad if anything adds a sweet taste to the water!
