I don?t often post on EDF, but I am making an exception to recommend Betsy www.dulwich-tutor.co.uk for your tutoring needs. Betsy has coordinated tutors for our son, helping him to exceed expectations in securing the school of our choice at 7+. She listens to the needs of the child and offers excellent advice and support, whether this be for school entrance exams(7+ and 11+) or for more general curriculum support. I would not recommend this nursery. We did not experience significant problems (rather constant minor irritations), but we know many people that have had a very difficult time, for a variety of different reasons. The nursery has the potential to be amazing, but when we were there, it wasn?t worth the money.

My experience of the DMC has been terrible. I have an eleven month old who was very ill last week. From 8am I redialed over 236 times (my phone recorded the number) to get into the telephone queue for an appointment, of which, of course when I finally got through there were none. I was told that my son was a priority and I would be put on a cancellation list, but by lunchtime there was still no availability. I then phoned 111 and was told to take him to a walk-in centre in New Cross. We waited there for three hours and after seeing a nurse, was immediately referred to A&E. Luckily he was then seen, treated and discharged, but it was an unnecessary stressful and drawn out experience. I would love to know where in East Dulwich you can get an emergency appointment, for a genuine emergency?
