  1. You could look at the Mountain Buggy Plus One, it has been fantastic for us, my two are 2.5 years apart. It has all the benefits of the P&T but you can still access the shopping basket when you have two children on board, and the older child sits behind the younger (when not in newborn mode) meaning no-one is stuck underneath. :)
  2. We are moving to East Dulwich next summer with our two children (who will be 4 and 1). At the moment we have a fantastic full time live-out nanny who we hope will move with us, but come September 2014 our eldest will be in school full time, and youngest will be in nursery at least a couple of mornings a week. So. ...we have been thinking about the possibility of a nanny share, if our nanny decides to make the move to London with us. Ideally I guess we would be looking for a family with one younger (baby) child who needs full time care, that way the nanny would spend the majority of the time with 2 little ones and just after school hours with 3. Even if our nanny decides not to come, I think we would still like to do a nanny share. Does anyone have any experience of this kind of arrangement? Any advice gratefully received especially around how the logistics of finding (1) another family to share with and (2) potentially finding a nanny as well. Also I am stressing about how much time we will need to leave ourselves to sort everything out - this all needs to be in place probably by August next year but we won't be moving until June or maybe July....help!!! Thank you so much in advance for any replies - you will be helping one very stressed out mummy!
  3. Thank you both! That's a relief, we are busy registering with a few at the moment but we were worried we would get a lot of "welcome to the bottom of the waiting list" responses! Fingers crossed that won't be the case. Unfortunately we will be well out of time for the state schools, we won't be moving for at least 6 months (pity - I can't wait to move!) but there are so many pieces of the jigsaw puzzle to put into place before then (including persuading our wonderful nanny to move with us and do a nanny share once our 3year old is in full time school) and the small matter of finding somewhere to live! Just out of interest does anyone know whether it would be possible to walk the children from East Dulwich to Rosemead or Oakfield? I am very keen to avoid the school-run if I can... Thanks!
  4. We are planning a move to the area in a few months with our two children ages 3 and 1. Our 3 year old is due to start reception in September 2014 and I was wondering if we have missed the boat in terms of getting him in to a good independent school in the Dulwich area. I have heard all sorts of horror stories that we ought to have put the children's names down the second they were born, but are we really too late? We will miss out on trying to get a place in state primary school as we won't be moved in time. Any advice or experiences gratefully received! Thank you!
