These are pictured as kitchen tiles but I think they would also be lovely in a bathroom: http://www.toppstiles.co.uk/tprod46365/henley-ice-tile.html They are the Topss Tiles Henley Ice if the link doesn't work.

Looks like The West Wing isn't on Netflix. How rubbish is that?!

I bought the car yesterday on PCP. I liked the low monthly repayments and was drawn to PCP (instead of leasing) as I would have a decent amount of equity in the car after 3 years if I wanted to trade the car in as Kia's hold their value. The equity varies from ?1,500 to ?4,000 depending on how well looked after the car is and mileage. For anyone else interested in the new Sportage, I managed to get ?1,800 off the list price and claimed the ?500 dealer deposit contribution. I am sure someone with a stronger stomach for haggling could do even better! Thanks to everyone for their input. Now for the 12 week wait...

Those are both much better articles than the summary article I read (which made no sense to me)!

DaveR thanks for the calculations, they're really useful. I hadn't actually thought about leasing as I'd somehow assumed it was a waste of money but it looks like it has advantages over personal contract. Bobbsy thanks for your input too. I'm pretty sure you don't pay servicing when leasing.

My car buying experience to date is limited to handing over a few hundred to a private seller found on gumtree/autotrader in exchange for an old banger that lasts less than year. I now live further away from my family and need a reliable car so am thinking of doing it properly. I'm thinking of buying either a new Kia Sportage on PCP (4.9% APR) over a 3 year period or a two year old version with a personal unsecured loan (3.2% APR)over a four year old period. Interest rates aside, the main differences that jump out at me between the two options are that with option 1 the monthly repayments are lower and I won't own the car after 3 years but will have the option to buy it after 3 years or trade it in whereas with option 2, the monthly repayments are higher but I own the car from the start. A two year old Sportage is also going to be about ?2,500 cheaper. What i can't work out is whether owning a car outright from the start actually matters and whether getting caught up in the whole PCP 3 year cycle is a bad idea. The most expensive item I have ever purchased is a sofa so the maths and responsibility to make a good decision is driving me a bit mad! So calling the financially savvy amongst you, which is the better option?

Thanks EA, good to hear support for the Bosch and the spinning tip. -

That's correct Loz. I probably only need a machine with a 4kg wash capacity so my intention would be to buy a machine with say, 8kg wash capacity and 4kg drying capacity so that I can do one wash/dry load without having to empty half of the wet clothes before drying. -

I was thinking about a Hoover as a friend has one but the reviews for drying on John Lewis are pretty shocking and I am ideally looking for something that can wash and dry a full load 2-3 times a week. It seems as though the older versions were better than the new ones. In a world free of budget constraints I would buy only Miele kitchen goods, but at ?1299 their washer dryers are pretty expensive! Currently thinking about Bosch as it's a Which? best buy and has good reviews on JL - http://www.johnlewis.com/bosch-wvg30461gb-freestanding-washer-dryer-8kg-wash-5kg-dry-load-a-energy-rating-1500rpm-spin-white/p1979720 Sorry, I also don't know when I became such a boring person! -
My new flat doesn't have space for a tumble dryer and I am already getting fed up of having a clothes horse permanently in the living room. I know washer dryers have bad reps but does anyone own one that they actually like and would recommend?

Not American but still watch Law & Order to this day!

I picked law at age 5 after watching Law & Order and stuck to it. Obviously had to come up with a more palatable answer to "why law?" for interviews! I have been qualified in my job for almost 5 years now and, despite my experience, I am still asked for my GCSEs, A levels and degree results when I apply for jobs. My advice to your granddaughter would therefore be to study hard and, if she does go to university, to pick a "serious" subject at a Russell Group uni and, again, work hard. Employers don't seem to mind if you change course halfway through your degree but my experience is that they do mind if you don't do well.

Have you ever taken a company to the small claims court?

A timeline is very helpful if you haven't prepared one already. -
My understanding is that cup measurements relate to volume so there will be different conversions for certain liquids and dry ingredients. For example, a cup of water is 250ml but a cup of flour is 150g.

I really appreciate all the PS game recommendations I received on the forum - they have turned me into a proper little gamer and given me a new hobby! It might seem like a small thing but I broke up with my boyfriend a few days ago and the distraction has been welcome :)

?5.50 plus ?1.84 postage :)

I won the ebay auction! Can't wait for my special delivery and to get playing :)

I think there's a CEX or similar in Brixton as well so I'll pop in as pass through quite often. Thanks for the ebay suggestion and link :) Otta I can't watch the gameplay videos you've posted (still at work) but I'll bid on the basis of the stills alone! I literally just want to get home and game. I can already see the PS3 replacing my obsession with box sets.
