Hi All, Just interested to hear other peoples view. Is it expected that the bin men actually put the bins back where they found them on the drive or is it deemed ok to just leave them strewn all over the driveway?

Hi James, Apologies if this issue has been raised before but as a resident of Barry Road it seems that there is an ever increasing amount of boy racers reaching some crazy speeds along the road. Have Speed bumps of speed cameras ever been considered? Regards, Richard

Please whoever owns the dog which barks first thing in the morning and late at night every day near landells road/Barry road please show some respect for your neighbours and shut it up. Especially when people have their windows open on these warm evenings. Thanks.

DuncanW, I agree with you on the loss of control/managing the situation. My experience with our managing agent is a nightmare. I just meant that at least you can divide that cost of the excess on the insurance rather than taking the full hit. Rich

another question is whether or not you are buying the freehold or are you going to be a leaseholder? If it is a lease then you need not worry as much as the responsibility probably lies with the freeholder. I would probably walk away if you are taking on the freehold unless some guarantees can be made or you have a full structural review of it.

James couldnt agree with you more. People love a moan. Like you say, the older people get, the harder it is to embrace change. ED's population is getting younger and more affluent. The local economy will naturally adapt to cater for that. As Spider says, maybe when im older I will understand...

I dont have a particular vision. I agree that we dont want it taken over with large corporates but it is pretty obvious which way ED is going. It is certainly not going backwards in terms of development. Just watch this space.

Spider69, Please dont insult me with with your derogatory comments. You can honestly say you would prefer the eye sore that is Iceland over a Waitrose or M&S? As a resident of ED surely you see the benefit of the Waitrose effect? It is widely known that the presence of such a store can be quite prosperous for the area. Plus Iceland stores are ghastly. Fight it all you want but I think you might find there are quite a few changes that take place over the next few years as the area grows in popularity. The increase in popularity is going to bring about regeneration and with that comes the interest from larger businesses.

I really dont understand why anyone would want an iceland instead of an M&S or a Waitrose? Both of which would be a fantastic addition to LL. Iceland massively drags the place down. Bring it on I say.

I see that Barry Road has had the bottom end resurfaced as well as the top end. Are there any plans to resurface the bit in between? Seems a bit odd they have left a portion out.. Thanks. I am having a curious Friday.
