  1. Most pubs around ED are totally fine with dogs - the only ones I know of that don't allow dogs are the EDT and Palmerston Quite a lot of shops are dog-friendly too... although often depends on the size of the shop and dog!
  2. Another recommendation for Matthew - just finished lots of decorating work (plastering, painting) in our house, and he and his guys did a good job, were helpful and reliable.
  3. Hi Nico1 - What days/times is the shop open? I wandered over around noon earlier for a browse and the shop was shut. Couldn't see any times in the window either :-(
  4. Norfolk is lovely - lots of nice walks, vast beautiful beaches (Holkham beach allows dogs all year round), and plenty of dog friendly pubs. We stayed in a lovely place called Strattons in Swaffam (not the most picturesque town, but the hotel was lovely) - hotel is very dog friendly and even supplied our dogs with fresh pork crackling as a treat! Norfolk is only a few hours drive from London.
  5. We went last Saturday and it was great fun - highly recommended, especially if the weather is good. Quite a few people brought chairs, cushions, big blankets and we even spotted a few duvets as well! Clearly some people are professional outdoor cinema goers... Most people brought picnics and there were quite a few champagne corks popping about which was amusing. The film started about 30 minutes late as they were waiting for sunset, and there was also a 15 minute intermission so it didn't finish up until 11:30 or so. We had to exit via the main gate which was a bit of a pain as there aren't really any buses back to East Dulwich from that side. It also gets cool quite quickly once it's dark so definitely bring something warm to put on.
  6. Hello fellow East Dulwich dog owners - Over the past two days my dog keeps coming out in some sort of "hives" on his face - he's all lumpy looking, a bit like Mickey Rourke. Most disturbing. He's completely fine otherwise, and it subsides after a few hours. Having seen the vet and done a thorough inspection of the house, I'm having to conclude it's something outside. I'm curious to know whether any other dog owners in the area have noticed anything similar with their pooches recently and if they have any idea of what it might be?
  7. I've quite partial to a Linda McCartney veg sausage sandwich - perfect comfort food until the weather warms up.....
  8. Count me in as well!
