  3. Also they are trying to rip people off. I asked if there was any way i could reduce my membership cost and they said no, no way. My girlfreind asks them 4 months later, and, oh yes, there is a joint membership available to her (and i)..... suspicious!
  4. ok, well i may have to pay a visit to the Wardour St version of the Quiet room first...
  5. yeah, kent coast, i used to cycle round there when i lived in faversham 10 years ago (& breifly in 2007). its great if u wanna go cycling/walking or fishing in summer, and the local beer is spot-on. However, in September /October i recommend Hotel Pupetto in Positano. http://www.positano.com/en/c/hotel-pupetto
  6. quote:*enters frostily and slowly, without rushin'* *wonders if this kind ofn comedy is acceptable in Soviet Room* sure, turkish delight! , & woddkka!

  8. Will it be like the quiet room??
  9. LC, This is so wierd, cos i had nearly the same thing... Bought car tax online, it didnt turn up in time, showed police email confirmation from DVLA - not interested. i didnt get a fine - as the DVLA had proof i had paid, but the Police notice i recieved was maddening, as was their response when i called in to see them on LL. Had i not been there they had called the DVLA to tow my car(they then crush them, yes really), even though i bought my tax from the DVLA!!! grrrrr.
  10. Hi lousia, i used to work for a company which ran a floor of Harrods, its all concessions of businesses in there so its likely its someone from an ED shop who pitched for a concession in there. - dont know who but if youre that interested i can mail my contacts and find out.

  13. Yeah Simon M, thats interesting as i have friends who are hard of hearing and as you say, they are the ones who arnt shouting in the club, and hear the music through the resonance much better than most who hear it rhrough their ears. anyway, Back on topic, surely if you live next to a successful pub you expect the noise (and go there to benefit from the place) to occur late at night, thats why houses away from (but in the walking vicinity of) these places cost the ??? and the ones close to them ones dont??? *runs away in fear of EDF responses*
  14. arrrrghhh. so quiet in here.. *shhsssccch gurlurp glug*

  18. Hi, hate what these guys seem to have done to the shoplifter but can i clear up one big misconception: Shops are not insured for any losses during opeining hours. Only after the store is closed. Its a bit like trying to claim on your insurance if you were burgled when you were in and had left the door open.. And please make somerfield M&S Simply Food Instead; surely this is reason enoguh now??!

  20. hi indiepanda, i have spent 5 hours today alone trying to get a decent signal, in the end opting to use the crappy cable box someone left here. ive had 2 boxes, a media pc, 3 different outdoor and 1 indoor aerial. forget it. thus i have accepted defeat and have 10 channels of low defeinition off cable. grrr.
  21. The funny thing is, as u may know, Gates is giving all(yes all, he doesnt believe in passing it to children) his money to charity now, and has retired, so we should all be buying pc's ..... think about it, i cant see steve jobs (apple ceo0 doing the same soon..
  22. *awakes with an interesting take on the feline kingdom* forget BAA, i have decided cats are taking over the world aviation market. quatar airways, cathay pacific, singapore airways... ttthink about it..... *slurrrps, still pi**ed from last night*
  23. Hi there HorseBox, i had a tour of the Apple store Regent street last week through work as i buy millions(literally) of Ipods off them. Anyway, there are personal shoppers in there who will take you through how to use your mac. Everyone gets the same treatment and they are very knowledgeable. as above from MM, id really recommend popping down there (rammed on a saturday) and having a chat with them as you'll get so much more out of yer pc (i mean mac..) if more convienient they are opening a store on covent garden in a few weeks too. Will
  24. id probably be interested too - keep me in the loopy
