id just like to add that i had the same problem with southwark 3 years ago. it ended (6 months later) with them paying me ?100 compensation for my trouble. And all the OVERpaid council tax back. i had to write to the boss of the council tax auditing office, who actually is on your side. Agree with louisa re respect for southwark council after that..

kater, (hi, hows the badminton going?), u can visit victoria and get new passport in 6 hrs, only if its just a renewal. if its lost/stolen u can visit victoria and wait 1 week. or go to the post office, use their check and send servie and it takes 2 weeks. the post office one sadly comes back to you via royal jelly, erm.., i mean mail...

thanks strawbs, fortunately for me my employer has asked me to stay at home every day until i start my new job (so as not to take trade secrets etc) so im in & waiting for mr postman... (& watching murder she wrote..) Furthermore, when i went to the post office yesterday they had shut at 2pm , blaming the weather!! Now, if you can open 9-2, why the hell can you not open 9-5?????????????????? i ask you?grrrr brrrrrrrrr blahh

nearly unbelievable timing - im awaiting a new passport back through the post needed for both a holiday and to validate a new job. i hope they start work again soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No one in their right mind would abandon a taxed merc in the street. Not everyone drives every day, especially in London. if they do come and park in your DRIVE, then all the other above comments valid.

Halfords sell exact colour match kits for DIY scratch repair for nearly all cars -i know, ive used mine about 10 times due to incidents like annas (reckless parking..?) and also people accidentally scraping their keys along my car... (about ?12, well worth it).

depends which version you have. there was an upgrade earlier this year so it may be old software version(usually sold at a discount)
