What a horrendous experience! So sad to read these kinds of posts, the guy is a huge danger to society and needs to be locked up. I know police are overly stretched but this guy is a serious danger, and possibly linked to other attacks earlier in the year which another poster posted above. Hope Mrs Boris and family are ok. I?m so upset for you and your child. Awful.

Happy SPD! I was pleasantly surprised by my kids coming back from school, sticking on an Irish song and doing Irish dancing! Such a joy to watch!

Thanks, ah, yes the operative word being MAY give you a fright...I sort of see your point, but its just a bit of silly humour for the target market (kids ages 3-6) would get a giggle from. Nothing to do with negative body images.

Here's the final copy rework :) Also the Metro has published an article now about the campaign to raise funds for the NHS too. It would be great if people could get behind it. The NHS Charities Trust have an urgent Covid Appeal running and my book is trying to help them. https://metro.co.uk/2021/03/11/man-writes-kids-book-about-lockdown-in-fathers-memory-to-aid-nhs-14214957/

Just an update for those who may be interested, I've had a couple of DM's about this and I've decided to go without showing the bum, whilst I think seeing the bum would be funnier, its probably safer and better to cover it. Thanks anyway.

Hello, I'm a local new author of rhyming children's bedtime books. I love reading books to my own kids during the bedtime routine and was inspired to write my own. (Julia Donaldson being my favourite kids author) But I have a question and just wanted to please get a consensus of peoples views here as a lot of people on the EDF are parents of young ones themselves. So my second book is in development, it's about a curious child who wonder's why he has to wear underpants but fruit don't...a bit whacky - I know! So previous page text is: "You may ask, is that fair... That I have to wear underpants but not a pear?" Page in Question: "True says mom, that doesn?t sound right? But a stranger seeing your bum may get a fright" What I would like to know is if the attached image (currently a sketch) would be acceptable/appropriate in a child's bedtime book (aged for 2.5 -6 years old). Or would it be better to have the mom covering the child with a towel? I know this could open a can of worms, so please be gentle... Hopefully it will make sense in the attached sketch... Thanks very much Ric https://www.rbbooks.co.uk/

Hi, I?ve signed it too :) Hope it works out for you -
Hello! At the end of last year, my dad (who was a self-published author) sadly passed away from Covid and like many others I saw what the NHS has to go through, and I decided I wanted to help. Having loved reading bedtime stories to my own children, I was inspired to publish my very own first children?s bedtime book. It?s a book about lockdown life told through the eyes of a young girl with a message of hope for the future. Printed in the UK, the book is both dedicated to my dad and the NHS - so much so that I will donate ?1 for every copy sold to NHS Charities Together (charity no: 1186569). A magazine has agreed to publish a small piece on it in the ?What We?re Loving Section? so it?s very exciting so I hope we can raise some good funds. I hope to do a book signing at some point in Dulwich Park too, when normality resumes. But for now, my book is called ?Oh No, Not Another Lockdown!? (yes we can all relate right? 😉) and it is a funny rhyming bedtime book for toddlers and young children. It?s available for ?5.99 exclusively at https://www.rbbooks.co.uk/ with ?1 of that being donated, so it?s a very worthy cause. I hope (as I actually lived in ED for many years, and now just a stone?s throw away) that the good people of ED will help support the cause. And tomorrow is World Book Day, so happy book day too! There are more details on the website, but I?ve attached a few teaser pics, some never been seen before including one which all parents who are home schooling will appreciate. So thank you very much Regards Ricardo Bertora Author Oh No, Not Another Lockdown! - https://www.rbbooks.co.uk/products/oh-no-not-another-lockdown Coming Soon: Apples, Ants & Underpants - https://www.rbbooks.co.uk/blogs/news/apples-ants-underpants-coming-soon

Ian, I listed all the benefits I could, and the drawback, people are free to make up their own mind. If ppl do switch, they will do so for saving money for themselves and going green to help the planet. If as an added benefit, u can get some credit, what?s the harm? As I started my post: they emailed me an email showing how good my carbon footprint is, I was impressed and decided to share the love. If more ppl join for cleaner energy what is the harm? If the credit is an added incentive for more ppl to go green, what is the harm???
