  1. I wanted to just add that my experience has shown me that fitness classes aimed at an older demographic are often nowhere near as good or as much fun as those aiming at all and sundry.. most classes I've been to NOT aiming at 'Middle aged' people have had such a mixed bag and everyone does what they can at their own pace and this is encouraged. Do give it a go.
  2. Dulwich leisure centre? Zumba or Pilates there? I go to Zumba at forest Hill Pools... Pay as you go membership and its very inclusive all ages shapes and sizes. Ditto I find the leisure centre the same..I'm mid 60's by the way. I prefer gyms to schools..the rooms they do the classes in are custom built.
  3. confused by the question?
  4. I had ones like that near the skirting board and also on the wall when I lived in a Victorian terrace. Gas guy said they were from when the house had gas lamps none were connected any longer.
  5. made the mistake of going to megans twice in DV.. would never make that mistake a 3rd time. Ditto I liked Romeo Jones a lot they did lovely soups and sandwiches and coffee too and such loveley staff.
  6. Oh! I love Franklins! Its always a really reliable lovely place to eat. I sincerely hope it does'nt change too much and they retain the team
  7. agree we've pretty much exhausted this subject.... However- I feel I must just comment on the utterly rediculous statement by @CMW stating that they struggle to find somewhere to get a good sunday lunch with hot food for less that £60 per head. I'm all for supporting our friends who own buisnesses or buisnesses we frequent and care about on the forum but I think such a sweeping nonsense statement (I too have food allergies btw and abhor tepid food) makes the post sound like the kneejerk reaction of a fangirl.
  8. I'm wondering if I can justify a visit due to calories burned walking there and back😜
  9. point taken. I'm not a cheapskate I believe in eating quality ingredients and wearing clothes not made in a sweatshop. I also prefer to support smaller indpendent local buisnesses... I apologise if I upset anyone with my comments. I'm sure the food is excellent and I wish you well However I still believe that £45 is expensive for whats on offer... And trust me I'm not comparing it with a sunday lunch at Wetherspoons and the like
  10. My feeling is...If times are tough offer a good deal... 2 courses £20 make a profit on soft drinks, teas + coffee and sell out the event. I clicked the link and noted Tea and coffee mentioned on menu but no mention of soft drinks or even sparkling/still water option- just seems a bit ill thought out. I'm all for local small buisnesses but not if they are taking the p**s on pricing.
  11. Sorry BUT that is far too expensive..I know its mentioned its BYO and no service charge but even so thats £90 if me and my OH wanted to go for a sunday lunch..Then If we wanted Sparkling water or a sof drink/coffee that would add another £5 minimum. We went for a fabulous sunday roast last Sunday and it was £30 per head for 2 courses. a family of 4 deciding to eat at this supper club would end up paying out £180 before any drinks. With so many other places nearby I'd be very suprised if many people decide to go to this.
  12. The photo shows chicken and bacon but the menu reads as Vegetarian? Also without clicking on the link can you give us a price please?
  13. Reading The words 'Artisan' and 'Curated' when refering to my 'Breakfast Bundle' frankly make me feel a bit..🤢
  14. Thanks @Sue I had no idea what they delivered. Personally I just dont get why anyone living in London would bother with something like this, We can all pop down the road and buy bread, pastries etc and know what we're getting.. Just seems a bit of a yuppie fad and waste of money. But thats just my opinion!
  15. I always like Redemptions coffee though I've not visted for awhile..Romeo Jones was always my 1st choice for takeout Coffee Redemption 2nd. What IS with all these independent Yoga and Pilates Studios? Theres one on London Rd in Forest Hill (Mind) thats recently opened and then theres the Pilates place thats opened on North X Road. I looked at the prices of the one on NorthX road and was frankly shocked at how expensive it is, The FH one is slightly less. Made me decide to stick with classes in The local authority gym
