Nextdoor is a legitimate company. There is a page about them here on Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nextdoor Its registration process is onerous: They require: Postcode, first line of address, email address, mobile phone number For first line of street address, they wish to confirm it via either a phone call to your mobile or a postcard sent to your address. There is a note saying "We'll automatically mail you a verification postcard if we can't confirm your address another way." I wonder if someone might have created an account and given your address and you have just received said postcard after a while.

DulwichFox, there are at least two twenty-four hour shops on Lordship Lane. Quite often, if I'm up all night working, as I was last night, I'll wander down to one of them to get some snacks for a break.

Good form in cases like this (such as excessive noise, which I know this isn't, but the point remains) is to be co-operative, and not at all confrontational. Telling someone you've reported them to the authorities without giving them a chance to defend their position does not count as such, but is something worthy of Lynda Snell. Much better to warn / tell the person / people in question first that something bad has happened and ask them if they know anything about it, rather than snitch in the first instance. Indeed, not doing so immediately disproportionately strengthens your case should they reoffend, and *then* you have the moral right to escalate. (cue 10-page thread...)
