  1. I just got exactly the same ticket. Didn't see the sign, no advanced warnign and a stupidly short closure time. Has anyone been successful in an appeal?
  2. Does anyone recognise this b/w fluffy cat? Found on Muschamp Road - No microchip. Do you recognise it? Please DM me. ***PLEASE MICROCHIP AND NEUTER YOUR PETS. IT WILL REDUCE LOSS AND MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU TO BE REUNITED IF LOST https://cafdonate.cafonline.org/69#!/DonationDetails
  3. Please tell Dulwich College that their decision to allow a real fur trader to appear again in the Dulwich College Xmas Fair is horrific and supports a barbaric industry. Phillipa London sell horrific fur coats, gillets, hats which they greenwash as coming from "natural beginings" - which in reality means a hopeless life is squalid cramped cages and death by anal electrocution, drowning or gassing. They are stall GH10 in the Great Hall. Please beware if taking children past this stand. The fur industry is universally condemed, but support from Dulwich College allows these heartless profit hungry traders to keep fur farms in business. Please boycott the fair until they agree to go FUR FREE. Email the Master Dr Spence to let him know that the use of real fur in 2022 is barbaric, outdated and doesn't align with the ethical values of Dulwich College http://[email protected]
  4. Bear is getting more chilled by the day. Vaccinations, healthcheck and neutering on Friday, then after a bit of R&R, we would LOVE to find him a forever home! Please DM me or message me on 07720 712553 if you are interested in Bear joining your family!
  5. I am a volunteer at Celia Hammond animal rescue and right now I’m fostering this beautiful boy. After being dumped by his owners in lower Sydenham, he spent over a year living in a freezing waste bin shed, and sheltering under cars during bad weather. He was being fed by a lovely local who was worried about him with winter approaching. We set to trap him, but he literally walked into the cage! He must have known! After a day scared, hiding at the back of his temporary foster crate, he’s totally come out of his shell. Purring, headbuts and cuddles within 48hrs, so he wants love and security for sure. He is being neutered, chipped and health checked on Friday, and then We will be hunting for a new home for him. He’ll need to be kept in for 8-10 weeks, but ideally he’d have an adult only home with cat flap and secure garden. Don’t know yet how he is with other cats, but he lived with a small female who was adopted separately before we managed to trap him. No info on how he is with children yet. He’s not yet on the Celia hammond website, but any info you need please text me. A home check will be required, as well as Celias adoption paperwork. *This is a formal adoption, with home check, and registration paperwork - Adoption will require a donation to cover vaccination, microchip, neutering and paperwork* Can anyone offer this beautiful bear a new home? Dm me to express an interest. Bryan
  6. I went for a look yesterday but no sign of it. Checked the bushes and trees, and park across but no sign. If anyone does see it, they can call me and I'll try to get her/him checked over 07720 712553
  7. CAN YOU HELP REHOME BLUE? Blue is a rescue cat looking for an adult only home with patient owners. He has been in Celia Hammond Lewisham now for over a year. He was given up after suffering behavioural issues after being overwhelmed and overstimulated in his last home. So he needs an adult only home. A year ago, Blue was easily overstimulated with people and was possesive of his space, but the team at CHAT have worked wonders with him. He LOVES treats and head rubs, and he needs an adult home who will be aware and sensitive to his body language and give him space when he needs. But he needs a home. A year without a lifetime pal of his own is too long for the boy! He could also live a semi-outdoor life with a catflap indoors and into a shed. Please call Celia Hammond Lewisham to chat about Blue. https://www.celiahammond.org/lewisham/index.php/cats-seeking/lewisham-london/10-cats-seeking-homes/1888-blue-5
  8. Please call the Fox Project on 01892 731565. They saved a poorly little one in our garden and returned him happy and healthy. Is he still there?

SE4 1UY Tel: 0208 694 6545 - REHOMING ENQUIRIES ONLY --------------------- CORONAVIRUS COVID-19 SITUATION and cat adoptions. Following Government Guidance our Homing Centres are closed to visitors but we are able to rescue and rehome cats whilst following regulations. The coronavirus pandemic does mean that we have had to alter our usual homing procedures. Pre-coronavirus we would meet potential adopters in their homes (home visit) this was an informal visit to provide advice about caring for cats or kittens e.g health care, feeding, settling in and also an opportunity for us to feel reassured that you could provide a good home. We have replaced a physical home visit with a video call via What'sApp or similar to provide the same advice and so that you can also show us the cat relevant areas of your home e.g garden, location of a cat flap etc. Following a successful home visit we now match cats and homes, you cannot visit cats or kittens in the rescue centre or our foster homes, instead we can provide photos and short video's of the cats and discuss them in more depth. If you wish to go ahead we deliver the cats / kittens to your home as a door step handover. Adoption paperwork is completed as far as possible in advance over the phone. You then adopt the cats or kittens on a trial adoption basis. Despite this being a new and unusual way to adopt cats we have so far found that adoptions are successful.
  10. Look, the "brand" of trap is irrelevant. The fact is, the guy has been punting these kinds of brutal "industrial" traps across residential areas for quite some time, and I'm sure this isn't the first pet that's been injured, or killed. And they are pointless. They also rely on inexperienced members of the public setting and locating them properly, which clearly hasn't worked in this instance. So no, the trap in question likely isn't his. But does he punt the same barbaric devices? Yes. Last post from me as I'm not gonna keep bumping this up. Sure you won't be able to help yourself tho.... Always nice to see a fearless (keyboard) warrior ride valiantly to a maidens aid. I'm swooning! 12. Looks like the kind of trap this nasty piece of work - Mahoody - is selling. You should send him your vet bill. /forum/read.php?30,2096886,2097838#msg-2097838
  13. You?re either a troll or a really mean-spirited animal abuser. Your wacky-races bonkers and frankly sick solution to kill baby birds is against the law. Why don?t you move to a concrete high rise instead of unnaturally focussing on killing animals? Or just get over your fixation. Go for a walk. Flagellate yourself with a horse hair vest and cat-o-nine tails. Take your mind off Parakeets. 15. A lower budget option attached if the house mods are too expensive.... Should knock out the noise of the verminous parakeets infesting and multiplying like bacteria in your trees. : ) Fitzgeraldo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Although attractive to watch, these birds are > exceptionally noisy. 16. Perfect solution attached. This should cut out all noise with the living world. Enjoy! 17. It?s likely if he got up, he?ll get down. Is there a difficult drop once he gets lower? If so, put a plank or ladder against the tree to assist. I wouldn?t worry. Mine go high and it looks scary but they always make it down.
  18. Hi MrsCrathew Which road are you on? I don't suppose you would know where he sleeps? Weather is definitely turning and if he's not suitable for rehoming, I'm going to try to make him a winter shelter to make his life a little more comfortable.
  19. Ok last ditch attempt before I neuter and try to rehome this guy: I?m 99% sure this guy is a feral, but is this your cat? He?s been sitting outside our house for a few weeks now, always coming from the Milo Road direction. He?s not ear clipped and doesn?t look neutered, so if he isn?t claimed, I?m going to arrange a trap, neuter and release/rehome. Does anyone recognise him as a stray, and if so, do you know where he sleeps? If he?s not suitable for rehoming, I?ll make a winter shelter for him. Will put posters up round the area this week if I don?t get any hits.
  20. Most compact and radio wave based rather than GPS https://www.amazon.co.uk/Loc8tor-Tabcat-Pack-Tracker-Wireless/dp/B01HGWL4PY?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_1 Some of these are a little chunky, but they work well https://mytabcat.com/shop/tabcat-pack/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIxsO-hPrD5AIVxZTVCh3pDgZqEAAYAyAAEgKkafD_BwE https://tractive.com/en/?utm_medium=link&utm_source=shareasale&utm_campaign=affiliate&sscid=91k3_6vjl2
  21. Thanks Sue. We have 3 rescues, so don't like to think of others in hardship. I'm kinda hoping he's just a grumpy bugger and actually lives with humans, but I don't think he does. 22. This huge tom has been coming round our front hunting for food for about 2 weeks now. He's VERY hungry, and NOT AT ALL people friendly. Is he yours? I think he's feral, and if he is, I'll arrange to trap, neuter and release him through Celia Hammond. But obviously not if he belongs to someone. Has anyone met him before or know if he has a home?
  23. There is a fluffy ginger cat on Whately Road following residents but skittish. He's quite skinny with white paws and a white nose. Does anyone recognise him? Does he have a home/owner? A few people are worried he doesn't.
  24. BBC question time was going to be in Bolton this Thursday but is now going to be in Dulwich to enable MPs to return back to the House. Ash Sarkar is on the panel. If you fancy being in the audience, call 01299 829299 and leave your name and address on the answerphone, I think they are scrabbling to get an audience together due to the last minute change of venue. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/5vyK2GwYrdQGFvCJyKNfZhn/join-the-question-time-audience/contact?fbclid=IwAR3lKriExvTeGLK2kSqXMtB_7iIUpVVAbHvs22UtI1Phx2oARpshggjRJWE
