I contacted 007 handyman on Thursday and today Victor Jr and a colleague came round and carried out a number of jobs for me: installing wall lights, a roller blind, picture ledges, coat hooks, cleared my gutters and did several other bitty jobs. They were early, polite, cleaned up after themselves and I highly recommend them.

According to our local councillor this morning, they've encountered another problem so resurfacing won't start until Monday (30th) and they've allotted 3 nights for it so the earliest it will reopen is the 3rd May.

I needed to move and replace two radiators. I contacted three plumbers who all had multiple good recommendations on the forum, one was borderline rude and another never responded. Billy Hunter replied, came round to assess and quote, gave me advice on what I needed and on prep work that had to be carried out before he could move the radiators. He and his brother Scott did the work this week. They were professional, unfailingly polite and friendly, efficient, cleaned up once they finished and they also corrected some dodgy work carried out by other tradesmen. The radiators look great and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend them and I'll definitely be using them again.

I can't remember if I recommended Oskar at the time, but in May he and his team replaced my garden fence which was in a poor condition, trimmed back the bushes that grew alongside the old fence, took all of the rubbish away with him and washed down the muddy patio. I can't recommend him highly enough.

I may have to move in the new year and wanting to stay in SE22 my budget is at the new build end of the market. Looking online, of the 20 houses in SE22 that are within my budget, 13 are on or around Abbotswood Road and I wondered why so many people are trying to sell up from there at the moment. Is it because of the proposed redevelopment of DHFC or is it to do with the quality of the houses themselves?
