Hey I will be there! Haven't been able to make the last couple because of work! -
I have to say I don't think the point of trick or treating is to "pick a street". It shouts rude to me...who has the best sweets, gives money etc. Why not just get in the car and drive to Chelsea and go round there? The idea is you go round to your neighbours...who you are meant to know and do some form of entertainment in return for a treat! If it is about having the Halloween experience then create your own. Don't rely on others, that you don't know, to do it for you!

Everything in life is a choice...and people don't make us feel a certain way we choose to let them make us feel that way. As I see it you have 2 choices you move or rather than you try to change somebody else's behaviour you change your reaction to the way she makes you feel. Accept that this is the way the woman is, rise above it and take yourself out of this game that appears to have ensued! Your reaction of "great" in your garden made it known to her that she is getting to you and probably fuelled her fire. By letting her see that she is not getting to you she may well grow bored and next time she is in your garden invite her to join you for a cuppa! -

Totally lostπ· -
The current speed bumps make absolutely no difference too so am not sure what other speed calming measure they can use. I regularly hear a car, bus or lorry hit its underside from travelling too fast over the ones outside my flat!
-
I walk past it to the bus stop on Dunstans Road and it isn't just outside there so I think it must be the flowers. I have to avoid 3 different points of the road to avoid the smell between there and the bust stop! I smelt a similar whif in Canada Water before and thought there must be a fox problem but now think it is the plants

No I am fine too but it coul just have been something in your dish! Yeah the food and plates at our end of the table were cold! Portions were pretty small too for the mains given the price! Sounds like fergus is banned from picking the restaurant next time π -
Benefit fraud only includes those that are fraudulently claiming benefits such as disability allowance or claiming whilst holding a job...it does not include those that simply choose not to work! That I imagine is another statistic that the government chooses not to advertise!

There are good and bad points at both end of the scale...big companies aren't paying the taxes that they should at the top end...at the bottom end you have every punter in his right mind that can't be ar$ed to work claiming benefits mixed in with a few people that have a genuine need. I am 31, have gone to Uni and paid taxes since I was 16 but I cannot afford to buy a house. I used to work in a bank and my sister in law got more in benefits than I earned in that bank! She was better off not working...which is a sad state of affairs. I have have brothers and sisters, that work, looking to add to their family that can't because they cannot afford to...yet you have people that keep having children when they have never worked or have no intention of working and expect the masses to pay for it. I am all about giving those in genuine need welfare, where they have tried to get a job and can't or have a genuine disability and can't work but I fear a big part of our problem is that we have developed a culture of people that think it is their given right to sit at home with their feet up!
