I was randomly attacked mid-afternoon a few years ago, my sympathies with Patricia. Sorry Penguin 68, in practice you do have to call the police. I wasn't as badly hurt and was able to call the police and follow him - he was unaccompanied. When he was (easily) found he advised that he did have mental health issues, I asked the police if he could be taken straight to a secure unit, their response was that if any mental health process/action was to happen the only way to get this action was to have him arrested, they could not just take him straight to the nearest mental health facility e.g. the Maudsley. Eventually the authority moved him to a different part of the borough as he could in theory attack (me) again.

Lordship lane roadworks - closure 18-30 November
annafb posted a topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hello, Signs are up saying that the section from the Harvester, that was, to Goose Green roundabout will be closed. Will this be in chunks or the whole stretch the whole time - Tfl doesn't seem to have any details re bus diversions... -
In Court Lane, anyone else suffering low water pressure?

We just needed a bed to be dismantled and moved to our new place - did a brilliant job, particularly as the bed turned out to be very tricky to dismantle. Excellet problem solving and communication, reasonable charge given the extra work, would use Pawel and his team again.

middle of Dulwich, he headed off towards middle of Dulwich village

Just had man wanting to sell cleaning stuff at door, waved some sort of card around, refused to leave when said we didn't do doorstep sales - if I didn't want to buy anything could I just give him some cash as he 'needed to be accommodated'. Only left when said would call the police and shut the door on him.

Similar coach parking a few months ago - I was on foot, went to the porters' lodge at Alleyns, told them about the problem and the response was 'it was nothing to do with them, it was a foundation coach'.....

Random guy knocking on door late at night
annafb replied to ElliotW's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We had this on Friday night, Court Lane, we were in the back of the house, lights not on in the front. Doorbell rang about 9.30/10, complete stranger on the doorstep. He just asked if this was [our address] - pretty obvious with door number then wandered off. Opportunistic burglar?? Not worth a 999 call, similar problem on hold with 101. -
dud dub and away are great, had a bad experience with one based in Streatham, can't remember their name.

Recommendation: Carpet Cleaning Services - Bradley O'Reilly
annafb replied to CameronMac's topic in Reviews
I left the one review. I only discovered that the skirting boards were soaking wet after Bradley left, couldn't hang about so wiped them all dry, while doing so realised there were chips to the new paintwork/wood been splintered off in one case. Yes, Bradley knocked ?10 off the bill but I still have to go and get new frame, touch up the paintwork. The full refund offer was if I withdrew that one review. -
Recommendation: Carpet Cleaning Services - Bradley O'Reilly
annafb replied to CameronMac's topic in Reviews
Sorry, think Bradley had a bad day today, won't be using him again. Ok these things happen but he knocked two pictures off a wall. Newly painted woodwork chipped there and elsewhere on stairs. He'd forgotten his towels/rags, gave him a load, not sure what he did with them, skirting boards up the stairs left sopping wet, as was the parquet at the base of the stairs. -

Buying a bath - you can get in them to try for size (fully clothed but take your shoes off!) as it is amazing how much they vary. Did this myself, I have no shame. If you like the rolltop look could get one with a 'flat' rolltop as can put stuff on it e.g glass of something nice...
