I've just been alerted to 'Stay Another Day' by East 17. Absolutely dreadful, and not really anything to do with Christmas.

OK...so shops have started playing Christmas music already, and its reminded me how offensive to the ear some Christmas songs are. *Now don't get me wrong, I love Christmas but hearing some of these songs over and over again drives me up the wall! Below is my top 3 'smash your stereo' favourites... 1. 'Driving Home For Christmas' - Chris Rea 2. 'Christmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End) - The Darkness 3. 'Mistletoe and Wine' - Sir Riff Pilchard...this one gets extra hate points Anyone have any to add? *edited so as not to sound like such a Scrooge

I think I've had a run in with this bloke...was standing outside his shop having a chat with a mate after heading towards each other on LL and he was clearly having some sort of delivery. The driver was filling in a form for him to sign and he just yelled 'MOVE' in our general direction. At first we didn't think he was talking to us, but when he followed it up with 'Oi! Can't you hear?' we told him where to go! We couldn't quite believe our ears!!

Is this 'Guess The Sports Personality' from A Question Of Sport? I think its Phil Tufnell.

He's blind in one eye and the other ones not too clever...if anyone else had written that letter it would be seen as a touching gesture. Can't say I'm a big fan myself but he didn't have to bother. Also a typed letter would be seen as too impersonal, so he can't win!

I saw a couple of lads throw some bangers onto the 12 bus just as the doors were closing a few nights ago. Fortunately I don't think there was anyone on it as it was up by the church at the top of Barry Road, but thats not the point. Its just dangerous and mindless.

We had a crazy neighbour when we lived in Clapham who came home pissed one night and tried to kick our door in at 3am. Dont own a chainsaw - nearest thing we had was a badminton racket. Sits by the door at all times. Be afraid!!

You can always be sure there's a Texas/Dallas/Peckham Chicken outlet close by...though has anyone noticed they're never called the same name? Chicken Cottage is by far the favourite, as we all know chickens have shunned coops for cottages these days, though I've never seen one called Chicken Chasm/Cavern?! Potential growth there.

OK...so this is probably a bit of a dumb question, but am off to NYC on Thursday and want to take my laptop with me. Do I need anything else beyond a plug converter? I know they use a different voltage...don't want to blow the thing! Cheers! JB.
