  13. Not sure I'm convinced by Kraftwerk personally, although I'm sure a lot of credit is due. Personally Fabric 09/Jacques Lu Cont never comes out of my CD Player and also a big fan of the Buzzin' Fly compilations mixed by Ben Watt. Essential Electronic Albums (in no particular order...) 1. Discovery - Daft Punk 2. Moon Safari - Air 3. Night Works - Layo & Bushwacka 4. Echoes - The Rapture (not technically Electronic but still awesome) 5. A Special Album - Ralph Myerz and the Jack Herren Band 6. Animal Magic and/or Days To Come - Bonobo 7. Soulstickers - Timewriter 8. Dystopia - Midnight Juggernauts 9. Pretty much anything by Lemon Jelly And Politics by Sebastien Tellier is worth a listen too, although did take a while to get into. Chuffed about this thread...am a DJ and was thinking of canvassing a few bars about staging an electronic night somewhere in ED. Sounds like it could be a go'er!
  14. I have to post this as am absolutely incensed at winning first prize of a parking ticket for parking on the kerb at the end of East Dulwich Road. No sign was displayed, and looking up the road everyone else had their wheels on the kerb so rather than obstruct traffic (and not thinking it was illegal) I parked on the kerb. The traffic warden who gave me the ticket then explained if I'd have parked with all wheels on the road or on the other side of the road I wouldnt have got a ticket...although I would have been ticketed for obstructing traffic! where's the sense in that?! Anyway rant over. Just wondered if anyone else has fallen foul of Southwark Parking Control in this spot, and whether its worth appealing the ticket or am I wasting my time?
  15. I'd call it 'The Fat Chav' after the clientelle that used to grace it.
  16. A plea to everyone...stop posting responses!! Its clear that JRussel is an eccentric old so-and-so who's just trying to get people to bite! No matter how many letters he/she writes to 'Boris Johnston' (whoever he is) somebody won't be round with a chainsaw!
  17. Special Branch...Trees...very good!
  18. Sorry, I don't know if anyones actually realised...the trees were here first, were they not?
  19. The only reason they're turned into flats is that the large proportion of people can't afford a family house in SE22, especially in the current financial climate. Also, London isn't getting any bigger. It's a sad reality, but something tells me more conversions in the area are inevitable.
