Deeply unfashionable groups who have a decent body of work...

Paintballing is a good call...noted!

I'm organising a stag do for about 30 blokes in the London area (or not too far outside) and need inspiration - I'm thinking something that doesn't initially involve heavy drinking (as I'll be out cold by about 7 at night) but could go that way in the early evening time. Also let me know if you've been on a decent one recently and what you did...help most gratefully received! JB :)-D

I think constructive criticism is fine (as nothing would progress without it) but this should be levelled in a way that it doesn't become personal or liable to be misconstrued as character assassination. Providing the complaints are on-topic, where's the issue?

Petition for the convicted rioters to lose benefits
jaybee82 replied to snss75's topic in The Lounge
Unfortunately, if they have no benefits they have no money for food/living. So in actual fact they will probably become more of a burden on the system through constant petty theft and public order offences. -
'L'estaci dell'oro' or 'The theme to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly' by Ennio Morricone. Just what I need to face a day at work.

Car wing mirrors vandalised on Goodrich Road
jaybee82 replied to Shaila Shah's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
My girlfriend had her wing mirror kicked off a few weeks back. We had it repaired and then the little swines came back and kicked the other one off. At just over ?100 a pop we can't afford to keep replacing them!! -
Has anyone else seen this? Its about three blokes who work a night shift in a petrol station near Reykjavik in Iceland - absolutely hilarious! The boss is like a cross between David Brent and Alan Partridge!! Its all in Icelandic with British subtitles but that makes it even more funny. I'd definitely encourage watching it as its only online for a few more days!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01177g8

We have been a few times and have found it a bit hit and miss. The first time was very nice, I had something similar to Ravioli, but the second time had Pescatore pasta with quite gritty Clams. The starter was Calamari, which was very nice apart from a few small stray bits of a plastic-like substance lurking on the plate. On the other hand, one of the waiters looks just like Napoleon Dynamite...which is fun.

On second look, this probably just about covers it. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?20,649376

Firstly, I make no apology for having absolutely no interest in the Royal Wedding. Congratulations to William and Kate for doing what millions do unnoticed by the masses every year. Let's move on. So with that in mind (and the hope of some pretty amazing summer weather) I'm after a list of decent venues/ideas/locations/suggestions of an enjoyable way to avoid the day's proceedings. I considered seeking refuge in the sanctuary of a local pub, though I've heard they may all be showing it too! Surely not!!

Getting to Stansted at stupid o'clock next Tuesday
jaybee82 replied to thfc2001's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
We fly to Sardinia at 6am in July and I've booked a Premier Inn not far from the airport for ?29. Obv car parking is on top, but book it early enough and its around ?50 for the week. -
Around 5mbps is roughly the norm for most houses in ED on standard 'BT' type DSL Broadband. Companies may offer more on paper but ultimately it is down to two prevailing factors: 1. Distance from the Telephone Exchange 2. Contention for service on your trunk of the line (if 100 houses on your street have service with Sky, then its likely to affect your line speed)

I heard Foxtons was going to be turned into a gay bar...
