I guess now, we just have to wait to see how the results are spun by council officers to show an overwhelming response 🤔

It is a separate subject, but I believe it's exactly what Rachel Theives is asking "Cash in hand mate, that's cash for me grassing you up. " We are all expected to become stool pigeons. (Dare you not to sing or hum the old Kid Creole sing now)

This is a better idea Whistle-blowers of tax avoiders to receive a reward If we all blow the whistle on the big American corporations avoiding tax in this country (Amazon, Google... ) then we will get rewarded whilst making them pay their fair share. https://www.theguardian.com/business/2025/mar/26/tax-avoidance-whistleblowers-will-earn-share-of-any-hmrc-proceeds-rachel-reeves-confirms Win win

New Shops in East Dulwich and Nearby - 2025 Edition

Nice to see Kixs have reopened in their new location. -
I am curious why some cyclists jump red lights. I was on a bus the other day which was stopped at a red pedestrian controlled light, a large number of cyclists also stopped but as soon as they could approximately half of them started up again and went through the red light. I was once told it's to do with losing momentum, but in this case that's obviously not the reason. Can someone from the cycling side explain the rational because I, and lots of others, just don't get it? If its not acceptable behaviour for motorised vehicles, why is it accepted by a large number of cyclists?

Sydenham Hill Consultation: a manipulative trend or a one-off?

Earl, your knowledge of random things including old TMOs makes me wonder if you work for a council 🤔 -

Guess its like a Dutch squirel bridge https://www.dutchnews.nl/2017/07/why-did-the-squirrel-cross-the-road-it-didnt/ -
To be clear There really isn't a problem with that happening at the moment, so why is it an issue in your mind Been meaning to ask, which part of the council do you work for?

Another cost for them Don't forget the increase in business rates, higher employers NI, minimum wage increase, and if people are discouraged from shopping local a potential dip in revenue then additional costs for parking may be the straw that breaks their backs.

Ah, there you go again, telling disabled people how they can travel without listening to their needs. You should be consulting with people with mobility needs, including the many different types of disability, age related conditions and other infirmities. Tell you what, I lend you one of my wheelchairs for a week and you lend me your legs then we can see how you find it in someone else's shoes. That way you might have a better idea of the daily challenges you assume to know all about...

Love the way everyone (who are, i suspect, able bodied) speaks for the disabled and tells us how great or easy access to Dulwich village is. Let me be frank, it's not easy to get there for a large group of people unless they drive and that is the nub of the problem with the current layout.

This just came up in my feed https://www.express.co.uk/life-style/food/2026334/why-supermarket-shoppers-are-turning What a great idea

Okay So in the middle of a cost of living crisis, when businesses are having an unprecedented rise in employers ni contributions, that will have unpredicted impacts on consumer habits and potentially push the UK into at worst, a recession, at best tightening of belts, you want to add additional costs on local businesses and if they go under that's their issue ? Maybe you don't need to graft to put food on your families table but our lovely shopkeepers and staff do. Ar times you're as sensitive as Trump and Vance!

Are you now claiming to be a rebel without a clue ?

In a few years we won't be allowed to buy new ICE vehicles, electric only therefore that alone will massively reduce carbon emissions so the argument that a CPZ is there to reduce carbon emissions in itself should lead to removing CPZs when cars are mostly electric Or do you disagree @malumbu?

It's been 4 years, your concerns aren't important to me , get on with your life and stop trying to fix an injustice Blimey mal, good job you aren't involved in the horizon or similar scandals

@alice why stop.at products, netflix, Disney plus, and other streaming services, McDonalds, pret, Starbucks, delivery apps, uber, so more "services" that have American roots My thoughts are if the masses silently boycot American firms in the UK,it might start to send a message The revolution starts here !

Shall we open a book Evens : a few residents in one or two streets wants it, and to stop parking spilling into other streets it will be implemented in all 2:1 : a load of invalid responses will be rejected leaving only ones wanting a CPZ 10:1 : only some streets want and will get it 10,000:1 : the CPZ will be rejected The tic tac toe man says "it's a single horse race"

ULEZ expansion ruled lawful by High Court
Spartacus replied to megalaki84's topic in Roads & Transport
@malumbu Diesel and petrol taxis are still on the streets of London, they are being phased out when they reach a certain age, to be replaced by electric ones but still over 50% of the fleet is not there yet. Buses are not all electric yet and the hybrid ones only use electric motors when they sometimes move below a certain speed, but often idle when they regulate their service pumping fumes out.
