New Secondary School East Dulwich
mamafeelgood replied to chupa123's topic in The Family Room Discussion
does anyone know what the situation is with the hospital site? will there be a school accepting applications for 2017? thanks -
James contacted myself, but sadly I can't make the meeting. Does that help? Personally, I hear all the Harris or free school discussions and agree that we have to keep asking questions. However, I'd also like to thanks James for acting on this issue and trust that people will get behind this campaign because we definitely need a secondary school.

Marriage guidance counsellor - recommendations wanted
mamafeelgood replied to eedee's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We went through relate and it was a great experience, exactly what we needed. My one piece of advice: if you don't think the counsellor is helping actually change for someone else. Have the confidence to think maybe it's not us but they're not just good for us: it's a personal space and you need to feel comfortable with the person asking the questions. I didn't find that it changed anything in us, but, it did make me/us look and actually listen to each other. In turn it made us realise that we were both feeling the same and we left with the tools to talk back down from an argument and forgive. Hope it goes well, good luck! -
Guardian not grown up? What the hell: Murdoch phone tapping and NSA to name but 2 MAJOR news agenda setting stories. I'm laughing just at that statement ...

Noooooooo please let Starbucks be a forum rumour and there is no truth in it. I hate Starbucks and there's already one at the supermarket. -
Don't like actress pizzas... But agree that I'm surprised no sushi place has opened.

I am 100% with Louisa on this one. Just say sorry! It's basic manners ... Not sure if it warrants a thread but manners are seriously lacking.

IngridB it's great to see this art in our neighbourhood, thanks for the variety, for getting people talking and opening my kids eyes to artists I see everyday win town. -

I think we should invite Adam Buxton to read these comments out loud, like his classic stand up of reading you tube comments/arguments following a film. Some of the comments here are priceless... I'm just waiting for computedshorty to start talking about 'real art' and then I'll forward the thread to Buxton to consider. -

There's the earlier thread about the souring road piece that explains all ... -
I'm 100% with Louisa on this one. Can't believe it even needs to be discussed, the station building is fantastic and hidden by a horrid, dank arcade. There's plenty of space on the lane for everything: station sqre, chains, independents and artists included. In a time of such awful cuts to public spending we should be cheering at the opportunity for regeneration that this scheme offers. Plus, everyone using the station or living/working locally will enjoy an improved environment.

Iceland farm shop sounds interesting, though not sure about the restricted access as you're just being a snob there...
