  1. They did a 'consultation' last night, but it was anything but a 'consultation'. It was to tell us they are going ahead whether the majority of residents in Nunhead like it or not. Now what do we do? East Dulwich obviously successfully challenged the cpz proposal in the Lordship Lane area. Can anyone from this campaign help us?
  2. I live in Nunhead and am not happy that the council are proposing cpz in the area. Any ideas how to challenge this?
  3. Any info on how to challenge controlled parking proposal in Nunhead?
  4. I reported a mess (food, cleaning liquids, metal poles, cleaning clothes, etc - see attachment) on the path outside a house on Stuart Rd being to the letting agents Dexters twice today. On both occasions I was told their management team were looking into it but nothing was done to clear up the mess. Surely you would think if Dexters had any sense of commitment to the community they are working in they would have had someone come out from their local office with a bin liner and dealt with the mess immediately???
  5. As part of this year's wonderful Peckeham & Nunhead Free Film Festival (www.freefilmfestivals.org), we're putting on a Bring Your Own Super 8 night, at THE GOLDEN ANCHOR, EVELINA RD, SE15 2DX, on WEDS 11 SEPT, 7.30 to start at 8pm. It's a not-be-missed chance to remember the glorious colour, the whirr of the projector and those unforgettable memories.
  6. Love records? Albums? Singles? Got some great tunes? Wanna share them? Fancy a DJ slot? Free on Sun 5th March, 5.30pm? Know the Ivy House, SE15 3BE? If that's "yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and yes". Then, get along to the bring your own vinyl night. Choose music. Choose life.
  7. Having been a big fan of Northern Soul/Uptempo Motown in the mid-70s, I've started collecting the records I had back then all over again. I'm loving it and have managed to pick-up good quality copies of J.J. Barnes' Real Humdinger, Lorraine Chandler's Love you Baby, Creation's I Got the Fever, Eddie Foster's/Frank Wilson's Do I Love You, Laura Lee's To Win Your Heart & Earl Van Dyke's 6 by 6 - to name just a few. Now, I'm eager to play and share these wonderful foot-tapping tracks. So, I'm wondering if there are other Northern Soul/Motown fans in East Dulwich who would like to meet-up to see if we could get a Northern/Motown night going in the area?? If at all interested, please do drop me a line. I would love to hear from you - even if it turns out it's just to say how much you are a fan of Uptempo Soul, too. Best wishes, Andy mob: 07763 235 380
