Hi Sue, I didn't see the post above mine till now. How horrific! It's such a stressful experience for dog and the owner, best to get your dog checked over at the vets. You can report to the local dog warden which would be Southwark council I believe.

So sorry this happened to your dog, wishing him a speedy recovery. Do you have a description of the dog or owner please so that others know who to look out for? Did the owner of the dog tell you it was a Pit Bull, just that there is no such breed, Pit Bull is a term used to describe several breeds of dogs that all have similar characteristics. So in the UK they get this type of dog by crossing a Bull breed and large breed such as Mastiff.

Hi siousxiesue, if you did decide to go with Battersea I would happily help transport the dog back to them for you as I am a dog volunteer there and local to Dulwich. Fostering is such a great thing to do and so many dogs would benefit from it especially from Battersea where there is currently major building works going on, it's incredibly stressful for a lot of the dogs there.

Am I overreacting or is this unacceptable?!

If this was my son I would be fuming and he would be taken out. My toddler goes to pre school he is 2 and if they dragged him by his feet play or not I wouldn't be happy. I don't believe any nursery would do that in play, it's one thing to do at home to your own child but you don't expect a teacher to do that in play. What you describe wasn't a play situation, they were trying to get him to stop what he was doing and move to the table. They should be able to get him to do this without force! Regardless of the flooring it's unacceptable. I think the nursery cam is a great idea. -
Well obviously not all year round in the sense of everyday if that's what you mean? Actually I'm not sure what you mean or why you are picking me up on it. I said all year round as in several times a year, throughout the year, does it matter anyway! It's bloody annoying regardless of how often it is.

Yes Otta, we get them all year round as in several times a year. We have lots of religious festivals which my neighbours have firework celebrations for Eid, Diwali, then there is Guy Fawkes, NYE and random parties too.
