Hi Fuschia, Thanks again for your advice and views , and thanks for describing your ?routine? with the twins! It?s my first pregnancy although I have been working with children from 3 months to 6 years old for 14 years in my home country. I never breastfed or worked with babies under 3 months apart from helping family and friends but not for 24 hours per day. I can?t afford a maternity nurse but will have my mum here to help though. I?m a very organised person so I?m not expecting to put a routine before breastfeeding has been established but for sure I will be looking to try it once it is possible as I will have to deal with everything on my own once my mum leaves here and my husband is back to work. I understand that breast feeding twins will hold us at home but I?m quite happy to try my best to try establish it but also thinking to express milk for later on to offer dad?s feeding time and also maybe be able to stay a bit longer outside of the house hopefully. Can I ask, where did you rent your medela breast pump?

We are a group of 6 people (3 couples) organising a new parents first aid course in ED on sunday the 26th Feb at 10:00. We are looking for 2-4 people to add to our group. The course is called: "New Baby First Aid Course" (4 hours) This course covers all the essential information you need as a parent, grandparent or maternity nurse in the case of an emergency. Covering: a.. Safety in the home ? including sleep safety b.. Infant Resuscitation and Basic Life Support c.. Airway problems including choking and drowning d.. Meningitis and febrile convulsions e.. First Aid treatment for burns, fractures and other common injuries At the end of the course you will receive further course resources and most importantly peace of mind that you can act confidently and calmly in an emergency situation at home. Hi Carrie and Fuschia Thanks very much for your comments, tips and sharing your experiences which are quite helpful. I would like to try to feed both at the same time as I'm planning to put them in a routine and I have a twin breast feeding pillow that I think can be a good platform like Carrie mentioned. Im lucky that my mum will come over to support me, which will be a great help :) Fuschia, when you were feeding them separately did you manage to establish a routine? Also, I heard other reviews that the Medela breast pump is one of the best ones, how did you find the Ameda? Hi I'm expecting twins due in April and was hoping to hear from those who already had experience of breastfeeding twins. Did you breastfeed them at the same time, or separately? Any advice/recommendation on expressing milk? Did you buy or hire the expressing machine? If hired, where is a good place to look. I mentioned to a couple of ladies sitting near me (but you know the group is very big and unfortunately we can?t talk to everyone in our long table) that I'm trying to organise a First Aid Course for parents here in ED in my home as working so many years with early years I think it's very important. I'm first aid trained but with twins on the way, I also want my hubby to be (and it's also nice to have a refresher for me) I wrote to few companies that can provide a qualified first aid Instructor to check price, hours... The price will vary ?45 -60 depending on the size of the group, 3 or 4 hours course. I was thinking to do it on a sunday morning? Is 19th February any good? Hi I am due to have twins in April and am in the process of finding a push chair for twins so was wondering if anyone else has the bugaboo donkey and what are their thoughts on it? I know a lot of the pros, flexibility and customisation etc, but was more interested in the cons. Does it feel heavy, is it difficult to fit into a car boot when folded, does it fit through doors easily etc. Thanks Emmy

Hi Everyone, I'm 12 /13 weeks pregnant and just had my scan last week and it's twins!! It was a bit scary in the first moment but getting used with the idea of two babies. The last 8 weeks I have passed vomited and very lonely but it looks like I'm getting better so it will be lovely to meet others mothers and mum to be :) My babies are due on 7th may 2012. Emmy
