  1. What variety of grass seed are you using? Are the birds eating the seed, do you need to use netting for protection?
  2. Maudsley hospital-lots of out-patients hanging around all day. Methodone clinic also on Denmark Hill. Nothing but ambulance sirens to &from Kings 24/7. Train noise.

How about we stop abusing mothers with children and actually cut them some slack. Children, especially toddlers are hard to control in a park environment and it's not unusual for > them to be running a muck. X x x x x x x x x x Above post says it all really & proves OP post - the parents chose to have the kids, their free choice. More than enough "slack" is cut re state benefits, time off work, adult bars catering for kids e.g playgrounds in beer gardens etc. The list is endless. Try controlling the kids rather than letting them run riot. Maybe Jo the Nanny from that how to be a parent programme is needed more than Jojo Mama Bebe. Bad mannerd parents = bad mannerd kids.
  5. Shouldn't have pets if you do not have the appropriate environment to keep them in as unfair to pet.

  8. Agree Louisa. The same buggy pushing types block the pavements as well, not to mention shops, bars etc.
  9. A very very accommodating landlady ;-)
  10. Dear JB, I see the councils tree contractors are cutting down 9 or 10 trees in Camberwell New Cemetery incl poplars. The trees look ok to me. There are scrappy bits of paper attached to the trees saying the trees have been surveyed and are being cut down for public safety. As it is spring and our remaining wildlife are dependent on trees esp' at this time of year can you please find out (1) what the alleged public safety issue is, (2) Is it the private contractor tree company that carried out the 'survey', (3) Why do this at this time of year, (4) When does this companies contract end. Thank you.
  11. People will do anything for money if they believe it is the only way. If page 3 is available and acceptable girls will still do it. So stop page 3.
  12. The use of these machines that have such a negative impact is for one reason and one reason only - to save money. Most of the services that use the machines are privatised or out sourced to private profit making businesses, some very large indeed. To maximise profits the quicker the verge is strimmed/the leaves collected the less time you have to pay a wage/more work can be done. Thatcher started privatisation and the con dems continue it. Thats why rose beds in parks are no longer pruned but are sliced to a uniform height with a hedge trimmer. Privatisation/best value is a con with short term gain (that is false), and mid-long term damage with no recovery eg dead rose beds (extrapolate the rest).

  15. Sounds like it could be one of those happy clappy churches that go on all night with plenty of screaming and shouting with hundreds in attendance
  16. At least you tried Foxhelp so ignore the blamers. There used to be a Tiggywinkles or something similar in Oxfordshire that take wildlife etc but dont know if its still there and its a long drive.
