There is a difference between living/moving next door to an existing pub that opens from 11-11 daily for example, and then the pub extends opening hours and turns into a hotel etc. One cannot move to a nuisance, however a nuisance can be created! I would suggest that the EDT keep their plans in proportion!

Plus JB, I have worked hard in achieving a good star rating, and i have spent time, money and effort in maintaining high standards, and am appalled that you want other food shops that haven't bothered doing that to be re-rated so that they take my customers! They deserve their rating. What is the point of the rating if it does not pay to have high score? Yet you want all scores high-let them earn it, do not take my customers, nor pervert the only good govt scheme for ages.

It is up to the proprietor of the business to request re-rating inspections following set procedures and time frames,not a local councillor with nothing better to do other than send health inspectors to local businesses that have just received inspection! JB try reading the food standards website concerning this matter rather than poking misinformed nose in again. Oh, and whilst you are troubling businesses without their permission and consent are you going to provide more health inspectors to cover all the shops that are uninspected because the time spent in east dulwich by the inspectors. You need to read your own code of conduct.

Any B&B, restaurant, pub extension of the EDT will negatively impact on residents of Spurling etc in terms of noise, refuse & parking. The whole block will be dominated by the place.

Hi James Barber,thanks for the reply. Interesting, but not quite sure how tables & chairs that can't be walked over,negociated with a wheelchair or pram makes a pavement wider as it is unusable? Maybe I'll take down my front garden fence and get it cleaned for free!

Gestapo security only concerned with alcohol being taken into festival,rather than safety, to force purchase of ridiculously priced waterd down alcohol. Stinking dirty toilets. Over priced crap food. Dear James Barber, if businesses are responsible for pavements at the front/side of their premises as area is within their curtilage and therefore do not need permission or a licence from the council to put tables & chairs out eg EDT, then can it be proper for council street sweepers to sweep the said areas?

Haircuts- what is best-having a haircut every 4-6wks and look good/smart all of the time. Or let hair grow a bit and look not so good/smart for a couple of weeks or so and then get haircut and look good. Infrequent haircuts you look very good after looking not so good. Frequent haircuts you don't get to look so contrastingly good,just 'same' good. What do others do?
