  1. The age of the side varies from low 20s to mid 30s, with a few older chaps bringing in the additional layers of experience needed for a winning team!
  2. Hi there, I'm the club secretary of local 11-a-side football team The East Dulwich Sporting Crabs. We are looking for new recruits for the coming season. We compete in the Third Division Southern Sunday Football League and play our home games at Belair Park in Dulwich Village. We finished 4th last season and are looking to build on that this year. At the moment we are training on JAGS sporting centre in North Dulwich on Wednesday's at 7pm. Our season starts early September and we will be playing some friendly games prior to that. If you are interested in joining or need any information please private message me or reply to this post with basic personal details and position preference. Thanks John Martin
  3. The Actress will be showing it.
  4. Well, another night disturbed by the vindictive neighbours last night. I managed to get their attention from their open window (they had the window wide open and were screaming and shouting, perhaps that's fun in their world), and asked them to simply close the window, not actually stop their gathering, but all I got was a tirade of abuse about 'not respecting them' somehow and then I got told to f*** off. So I decided to call Southwark Council Anti-Social Behaviour hit squad, and what a load of good that was. They said that although the noise coming from next was 'unbearable' but because it wasn't music being unbearably loud, they couldn't do anything!! Is this right? It seems bizarre that a recording of people shouting and screaming could be deemed anti-social but actual screaming and shouting is beyond their jurisdiction. And now, I'm at a loss at what to do. Can the council really do nothing? Can I get in touch with their landlord to make a complaint? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  5. Thank you for the advice, I want to actually speak to them first, but they don't seem keen to talk. I've got a council reference number so I'll take it up after the Easter holidays. hopefully we won't have any more!
  6. A common issue I'm sure, but noisy neighbours... what can you do? We're on Lacon Road and last night (and this isn't the first) our delightful neighbours decided to have an impromptu get together that started at 0030 and finished at 0830 this morning! The joy. Tried knocking on the door to no avail, what's the best course of action? Report to council? Police? Landlord? If it was a one off it'd be fair enough but this seems to happen again and again! Aide moi!
