  9. Hi minder The article was on the Daily Mail website....I'm not entirely sure if it was in the paper version as well, but my guess is probably not...as the website seems to have a lot more stories.
  10. I will PM you purplebreeze
  11. Hi Purplebreeze Yes I am aware of this after reading an article in the Daily Mail recently. Here is the link to the full article: ****Please note the link may be upsetting to some**** http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2450832/Victorian-photographs-relatives-posing-alongside-dead-bodies.html

  15. completely agree with you Clare11 ...sometimes the council workers/diggers have no regard for headstones, especially if there are no longer relatives around....I know of a really ornate one which was damaged by their digger. ****oh and don't get me started on the selfish dogowners that allow their unleashed dogs to trample all over loved ones graves & knock all the flowers etc over****
  16. I'm still waiting to put a headstone on a loved ones grave but due to the constant flooding can't!!! And I agree with you clare11 its a shame seeing the woodland area destroyed especially when there are still some graves being tended to there.

  18. As other posters say it has been there for many years and I wouldn't be surprised if they had been there for 45 years. There used to be a butchers along that same stretch that my nan used to buy her sausages at :)
  19. Having lived here all my life I don't ever recall East Dulwich being "a bit rough".

  22. Agreed, an inspirational human being, whose fight for justice made this world a better place. ?Let bygones be bygones. Let what has happened pass,? he said upon release, rejecting any suggestions of violent revenge. ?Take your knives and your guns and throw them into the sea,? he told his followers.

  24. I love how the photo of the 12 bus has captured a passenger jumping on whilst the bus is in motion.
  25. Great photo, I too can remember the Kings Arms - I think it was possibly in the 1980s/ 1990s - popular pub and club whereby drinkers would travel from outside the area to visit. There was a sea fish/cockle stall outside if my memory serves me right.
