  1. Hi Norfolkvillas Well done for taking up mentoring, I'm sure it will be very rewarding indeed. Do the activities have to be in the Kennington/Oval area? Or would it be a good idea to take that child out of her regular surroundings to experience some different things & to widen her horizons? I'm just asking as I know someone who mentored a 15 year old girl and she took her to lots of places outside of her immediate surroundings (street dance shows, theatre, restaurants, music events etc). Do you have any idea what interests she has? Well done once again, I know how rewarding it can be.

  6. Last night at approximately 11pm, I was sat in my car on Belvoir Road where I spotted a suspicious man. He obviously didn't see me as he wandered around scouring the area looking at parked cars and properties on Belvoir, Underhill & Melford Roads. After observing him for a while I then drove past him and when he spotted what I was doing, he hid in a garden on Underhill Road (somewhere between number 32 and 50) The mans description is; white, 5ft 8inch tall, slim -skinny build, short brown hair scrapped back with a slight wave in it, navy tracksuit, white trainers (Nike Airforce trainer boots- they looked new so he probably will have these on next time!!!:) Anyway I have reported him to the Police crime number.
  7. Thank you Pugwash, very useful. I visited there recently and enjoyed the shopping centre. You're right there's certainly a wide range of shops & lots of local buses to surrounding areas.
