  1. So I went to the sorting office today and was handed 1 lonely letter dated 6th January 2016. I wonder where all my other letters are that I'm expecting over the last 2 weeks. The postman behind the counter looked blankly at me when I asked. He confirmed that that our postman had been assaulted....sad state of affairs.
  2. Ah that explains it - thank you Bic Basher ! P.S hope the postman is ok.
  3. I haven't had any post since Christmas - I'm near Overhill Road. Is anyone else having the same problem?
  4. PM me with your name if you think it's yours, otherwise I will hand it into the bank on Monday morning.
  5. Someone has found an engraved wedding band. It was advertised on a "found" poster this morning just past Dulwich Library so I thought that I would pop on here too. Tele No: 07939995760
  6. Hi cantthinkofaname I agree, there definitely has been a decline at the surgery over the years, not so much in the Doctors themselves, one in particular has been constantly outstanding, but there has been a decline in appointment times, a particular attitude with one of the staff behind the counter (which has now been addressed) & another time one of the staff (who has now left) had her feet up on the desk/ counter (unhygienic to say the least) whilst at the same time seeing patients at the front counter. When I called I had to wait 35- 40 minutes
  7. Wow thanks for posting that Jah Lush - I remember her walking along Upland road in years gone by. I have also seen her quite recently near Blackfriars, not as white, and she seems like a pleasant lady.
  8. Reads Record shop mentioned here in these 2 links: http://www.charliegillett.com/bb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=22670 http://www.peckhamsociety.org.uk/letters/ There was also the A.1,RECORD STORE AT WALWORTH ROAD (One shop away from the corner of East Street)
  9. Maybe mako can help; http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?31,1500741
  10. Hi emc I travelled that route this morning - the traffic flow was good & certainly not as bad as what it has been. However there is tube strike planned for tomorrow so I would have thought that more traffic would be predicted, emc Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi > > I need to drive up the Walworth Road towards E&C > tomorrow (Thurs) at around 8.40am. 11. Yes Kennington was cordoned off - maybe because streets were flooded in Kennington? http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/kennington-flooding-residents-tell-of-panic-as-homes-left-under-feet-of-filthy-water-10353222.html
  12. You're welcome PhilPhilPhil..me too
  13. Also tonight there could be traffic on that same route as there will be a "Stop Killing Cyclists" Die-In vigil for Esther Hartsilver who who was killed under a lorry in Denmark Hill last week. The gathering will see former cyclists laying in the road. Cyclists will start gathering at 6pm and it will formally start after 6.30pm.
  14. I shop in Iceland, M&S and Waitrose, depending on what I need to buy and where I am. I hope that the staff all get to keep their jobs. They have always been exceptionally polite, helpful and courteous...and that includes the checkout staff, floor & stockroom staff and the security. It will be a shame to see them go as there are lots of old-timer ED locals that have used Iceland for years, because of it's prices and it's convenient location for those that can't travel further.
  15. "Infecting"! I completely agree with Siduhe. As far as I can remember an elderly person lived at that address and has done for many years...it's her home and she's entitled to live how she wants to live after all these year as she's certainly been in the area a lot longer than others. Live and let live
  16. Oh that one Bermygirl, where the cyclist accident was - East Dulwich Grove junction.
  17. Scary if you don't see the zebra crossings that are there surrounding the roundabout? bermygirl Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Well I must be blind because I don't see any zebra > crossing there.

  21. I agree, I've always loved Peckham Rye Park...it's so beautiful & I have fond memories of spending many an evening there as a child jumping on the swinging tyres in the Adventure playground!
  22. Anyone know how to delete a document from Office 365 Delve? I can turn off my shared activity but I need to delete the document. Thank you
  23. A report in today's Evening Standard http://www.standard.co.uk/news/crime/police-swoop-on-child-scooter-theft-gangs-met-officers-in-bid-to-halt-28m-london-racket-10194349.html
