  8. Usually in public places you have to get permission / complete a release form. Personally I wouldn't want to be pictured if I were studying in the library....there should be places that you can go without being photographed.
  9. It's nice to hear residents enquiring about the best way to care for nature.

  13. chavwithalawdegree! What a great name This is her posts below...but in one of her posts she was querying about changing her name with admin, maybe worth pm'ing her in any case. http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/search.php?12,search=ChavWivaLawDegree,page=1,match_type=AUTHOR,match_dates=0,match_forum=ALL Jeremy Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is "chavwithalawdegree" still hanging around on > here? 14. Thanks for highlighting its features Jacqui, I walked past yesterday and appreciated its cute letterbox. I too hope that it's Victorian features are retained. 15. My condolences - his repair shop was on Forest Hill Road for many years and he was always helpful and provided a good customer service. May he Rest in Peace.
  16. I am in no way part of SSW. These are my own individual views and I don't speak as part of any group. I have been a Dulwich resident for 30 plus years, my mother, grandparents & Great grandparents were also Dulwich residents & I have visited Camberwell Old Cemetery for many years because that is where my relatives are laid to "rest".
  17. As someone who actually uses the cemetery to mourn loved ones, I agree entirely Fruityloops. fruityloops Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I don't use it as a place to quietly remember my > loved ones, but I am sure that if I did, then I > would much sooner have visited the overgrown tree > part of the cemetery than the sterile and clinical > designs being put forward by the council.
  18. Having not read the apparent previous LONG threads Sue, it's strange that I have come to the same conclusion then isn't it...I too have lived very near to the cemetery for 30 years plus and have ancestors dating back to the turn of the century buried in there. I don't use the cemetery just as a walk through, but rather as a place to quietly remember my loved ones. 19. I completely agree with you Precious star. Penguin68 - 2 questions - Do you have any relatives that are actually buried in that cemetery and do you work for Southwark Council? precious star Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I agree that the way the council are treating the > cemetery is like its just a playground, they show > no respect, and i have seen on many occasions how > the tractors have left there tractor marks across > graves and also noticed that since they have been > doing works lovely old stones of angels have had > heads and wings knocked off! Penguin68 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > However it should be noted that as far as I can > see from the picture the woman's daughter died in > about 1985 (of course it will continue to upset > her, but her loss dates back 30 years) It really doesn't matter when the loss dates back to - a grave should be treated with respect. I think the council sometimes assume that they can get away with this kind of thing if there are no living relatives around.. I speak from a view point of having generations of relatives buried there.
  21. And this is the disgusting way that Southwark Council treated this grave: http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/6962258/Heartbroken-mum-slams-council-for-turning-her-baby-girl-grave-into-a-building-site.html
  22. Thank you Bic Basher - can I ask whether any of it is dated pre Christmas ? - I think the attacker must have taken some of my xmas post between 18th Dec - 7th January.
