Hello from the other side of Denmark Hill. I was recently asked if I would make postcards of the attached, which was originally a Christmas Card from 2019. Slightly sweary, but clearly hitting a chord with many for some reason. I need to get planning permission to do some conversions to my flat. We have the structural engineer's drawings and the architect's plans. We are managing the project ourselves and the architect isn?t local to Southwark so can?t advise. Has anyone used the pre-planning service? Was it worth it? What were the pros and cons of using the service? Thanks. Tom

The architect is a member of my family with no experience of Southwark's way of working. Whether it's worth it really depends on the borough. I'm hoping that someone here has used the system and can give a bit of feedback.

I've cycled there coming home a lot at night. It's pretty well lit up on the paths and they are usually still busy until late in the evening so I haven't felt unsafe. Having said that, if you are worried, go on the main roads.
