  1. Are you aware, council houses in Southwark are being repaired by the company Saltash, and as I have heard from several sources, scaffolding is erected, job done, then scaffolding is left up as long as possible so that the council pay well over the top for "storing" this scaffolding outside their properties, no one from the council checks to see why, how long or if its even needed for the amount of time charged, this scaffolding is a real pain, leaves the properties open for burglaries and is unsightly, unwanted and unneeded, try getting a response from the council on this and you will be told the person you need is not available/person you need is on holiday/leave/away from their desk/don't know who you need to speak to/don't know anyfing about it. meanwhile the charges are racking up. Is anyone watching?
  2. the mind shop - goose green has a tower like that?
  3. best to report it to the police, if there is nothing wrong - no problem, if sadly, there is, reports to the police can go a way to helping the person get help from appropriate sources, no one, is shouting or causing this annoyance for nothing, best safe than sorry, all to often you hear or read of these things happening and not reported only for it to lead to something unfortunate, if you were walking on your own, or with children how safe would you feel, its not their fault (in most cases) but reporting it is not a bad thing. hope this resovles itself.
  4. All the "Gastro Pubs" in east Dulwich have late license to piss off every one around the area, but, the disposal of bottles/rubbish etc., are usually by private firms employed by the "Gastro Pubs" they are not allowed to deliver or collect at any time they please, contact the local council, call 0207 525 5700 or Highways dept, or licensing dept. amd inform them.
  5. how do these chavs/assols/yummies afford bikes and petrol - or whatever - and why not call police or grease up the pavement, - Louisa is entitled to her opinion without being told to push off, as usual always picking out the bits that don't matter and sliding of the subject in question.
  6. Tony - the drummer was attacked and hit his head on the pavement when he was knocked down, luckily he was not alone and rushed to hospital, he is thankfully well and still a great drummer, all the boys are sadly missed, but, some of their friends still play and more, still remember what great fun and talent they were, good and sad memories from those days, still worth remembering - thanks.
  7. People who wear backpacks or babies then swipe you with them because they couldent be bothered to check if anyone is behind them, or crush you/wap you in the face, in a queue/on a bus with them. people on bikes who think they can cycle anywhere they like and be rude with it. People who think they are the only person in the shop/bank/post office who needs attention/serving. People who think everyone should look out for/entertain their children whilst they shop/quaff wine/be in conversation - in fact anything rather than look after their own kids. Annoyed/brassed off/lost all desire to be anymore tolerant and pissed on from a great height people like me.
  8. across the road from the ed deli - fruit and veg outside, is another deli, good breads, cheesecake, salami, olives, stuffed vine etc,and not half as expensive, been there for years. Lets hope ED property is not yet another estate agent or over the top up itself "wine bar/eating house/gastro gastly get over yourself drinking place"
  9. girl I knew had a dog called elliot and her son was called raven..

    "Royal Mail"

Is the privatised Royal Mail still entitled to use the queen on their postage stamps, will it be off with her head? can they still call it "Royal" mail.
  12. never been struck by lightening, but have been struck twice by cyclist on pavement, also just this morning TWO cyclist breaking the law by crossing the red lights at crossroads at Kings arms one of them undertaking a lorry which was turning, sounded horn to warn him of danger and was greeted by two fingers, theres a lot to be said for cyclist, guess what I'm saying?
  13. know the lads well, used to eat my house empty every week, miss Darryl and his cider lollies, still see churchy (best drummer,)and others including the "Girls"- still dancing on the table, meet now and again at club to relive and remember. anyone recall "Touchmenudger" also played in Uplands, we also have 60's, 70's nights, rock nights like we used to have in the Palmy, most of the boys still have their jean machine/Wrangler duds - some still fit in them nicely (you know who you are) Steve Waller at the Half Moon, Bible Classes, bucket of water fights at the Mag, blimey, I may as well start on about "jumpers for goal posts" next!
  14. I doubt the council will issue any info. re neighbours, but if it i leased by the council they have a duty to make sure their property is kept to a standard, contact council direct, you can find out who the council landlord is by calling 0207 525 5000.
  15. do not disagree with any of the things mentioned above but, after all the reports regarding police and government failures in this case the timing of the offered peerage seems contrived, and as I said there are many people who have lost loved ones to violence, racist and not, i.e. soldier at Woolwich. and what about moors murderer victim Keith Bennets mum (sadly now passed)she campaigned for years, as have many others, those who have fought racism for years, where are their peerages.
  16. the Stephen Lawrence murder was a terrible crime, but can you tell me why his mother is getting a peerage?, sadly, there have been many people murdered, are all the parents being invited to enter parliament, I think not, so what is the reasoning behind this particular move, if it is to fight racialisim there are many worthwhile groups already fighting this cause, whilst I sympathise with the Lawrence family there seems to be a hidden agenda here by the Labour government.
  17. thanks for those piccys, cheered me up no end x
  18. what would happen if we all rang in? if nothing good happens soon and in any future cases it might shift someone into action, I donate to these people, will be letting them know that wont be happening anytime soon
  19. agree well done first mate, a similar situation in which I ended up threatening to call south london press to let them know how unhelpful the RSPCA can be, its ok saying they will have nothing to investigate, what are they waiting for, the dog to die, and how is this affecting the dog itself, suffering and stress will not make for a good dog in the future. if there is any help I can give please let me know - do not live fare.
  20. the "boy" in question is actually in his forties with a loving family and large group of friends who have tried repeatedly over the years to help him, unfortunately, when he suffers a "meltdown" usually because he does not take his medication and drinks heavily, he becomes violent and paranoid, the police can only arrest him if he is a danger to himself or others and then they can only refer him to medical care, they themselves can only hold him for a certain amount of time, giving him medication until he improves, he is then (like so many others) let back into the community and the whole cycle starts again. the police may have looked heavy handed but the person is known to carry weapons and is known to be dangerous, when well he is a lovely person but sadly he suffers from a condition that so far remains difficult to control.
  21. time and again family and friends have contacted Maudsley hospital and police asking for help for this young man but same reply, "we cant do anything until he hurts himself or someone else, we asked him if he was ok and he said yes!, we cant make him take his tablets" etc, etc, the police are also unable to do anything as he is under the "care" of Maudsley, its a real shame. but as he has now hurt someone (sadly) maybe he will receive some help this time - maybe.
  22. foxes scream when mating, calling young and partners, in trouble, out of trouble, much the same as the lesser spotted Dulwich dwelling pisshead leaving local pubs between 12 and 5 in the morning.
  23. will report this trapping through proper channels, have school got permission to trap foxes, how do they "dispose of them", how long do they leave these poor things before dealing with, who is it that deals with them, IF these reports are true this may be a serious case of abuse, torture, will be calling scool first thing to ascertain if true.
  24. London Wildlife - 0208 647 6230, Pigeon/wildlife - 07909795064, Three Owls Sanctuary - 07973819389, Pigeon Rescue - 0208 644 7349, just a few with help/advice, if the bird is on a pavement/road its very unlikely mum/dad will be able to rescue/feed baby, the groups above will be able to tell you where to take the bird, well done for helping.
