former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
susiq replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Are you aware, council houses in Southwark are being repaired by the company Saltash, and as I have heard from several sources, scaffolding is erected, job done, then scaffolding is left up as long as possible so that the council pay well over the top for "storing" this scaffolding outside their properties, no one from the council checks to see why, how long or if its even needed for the amount of time charged, this scaffolding is a real pain, leaves the properties open for burglaries and is unsightly, unwanted and unneeded, try getting a response from the council on this and you will be told the person you need is not available/person you need is on holiday/leave/away from their desk/don't know who you need to speak to/don't know anyfing about it. meanwhile the charges are racking up. Is anyone watching? -

best to report it to the police, if there is nothing wrong - no problem, if sadly, there is, reports to the police can go a way to helping the person get help from appropriate sources, no one, is shouting or causing this annoyance for nothing, best safe than sorry, all to often you hear or read of these things happening and not reported only for it to lead to something unfortunate, if you were walking on your own, or with children how safe would you feel, its not their fault (in most cases) but reporting it is not a bad thing. hope this resovles itself. -
All the "Gastro Pubs" in east Dulwich have late license to piss off every one around the area, but, the disposal of bottles/rubbish etc., are usually by private firms employed by the "Gastro Pubs" they are not allowed to deliver or collect at any time they please, contact the local council, call 0207 525 5700 or Highways dept, or licensing dept. amd inform them.

how do these chavs/assols/yummies afford bikes and petrol - or whatever - and why not call police or grease up the pavement, - Louisa is entitled to her opinion without being told to push off, as usual always picking out the bits that don't matter and sliding of the subject in question.

Tony - the drummer was attacked and hit his head on the pavement when he was knocked down, luckily he was not alone and rushed to hospital, he is thankfully well and still a great drummer, all the boys are sadly missed, but, some of their friends still play and more, still remember what great fun and talent they were, good and sad memories from those days, still worth remembering - thanks.

People who wear backpacks or babies then swipe you with them because they couldent be bothered to check if anyone is behind them, or crush you/wap you in the face, in a queue/on a bus with them. people on bikes who think they can cycle anywhere they like and be rude with it. People who think they are the only person in the shop/bank/post office who needs attention/serving. People who think everyone should look out for/entertain their children whilst they shop/quaff wine/be in conversation - in fact anything rather than look after their own kids. Annoyed/brassed off/lost all desire to be anymore tolerant and pissed on from a great height people like me.

Lets hope ED property is not yet another estate agent or over the top up itself "wine bar/eating house/gastro gastly get over yourself drinking place"

Is the privatised Royal Mail still entitled to use the queen on their postage stamps, will it be off with her head? can they still call it "Royal" mail.

know the lads well, used to eat my house empty every week, miss Darryl and his cider lollies, still see churchy (best drummer,)and others including the "Girls"- still dancing on the table, meet now and again at club to relive and remember. anyone recall "Touchmenudger" also played in Uplands, we also have 60's, 70's nights, rock nights like we used to have in the Palmy, most of the boys still have their jean machine/Wrangler duds - some still fit in them nicely (you know who you are) Steve Waller at the Half Moon, Bible Classes, bucket of water fights at the Mag, blimey, I may as well start on about "jumpers for goal posts" next!

I doubt the council will issue any info. re neighbours, but if it i leased by the council they have a duty to make sure their property is kept to a standard, contact council direct, you can find out who the council landlord is by calling 0207 525 5000.
